My Homey Pro keep loosing contact with my Hue bridge.
Everything works fine and the suddenly the red triangle is there and every Hue item is off.
I have to remove the Hue app, restart the Homey, add all the Hue items.
I can’t use fixed IP addresses in my router, ZTE MC888 Pro.
Regards
Leif
That’s probably the issue, Homey isn’t very good in discovering devices when their IP address has changed.
If you can’t use fixed IP addresses, perhaps you can set the DHCP lease time to very high? Like weeks or even months?
FWIW, in the manual for your router I see something called “MAC-IP Bind”, which is another term for static IP address configuration.
Great, thanks!
I managed to fix the IP address where you suggested.
Do I have to fix the Homey IP also?
Where did you find a manual for my ZTE? I’ve searched for that, and tried to get support from ZTE.
Thanks a lot again!
Leif
That would be preferable, yes.
I found this: https://blob.hkbn.net/es-aio-static/pdf-user-guides/hkbnes-zte-5g-cpe-mc888-configuration-guide-1.2-en.pdf
Not really a manual, more of an “advanced guide”.
Ok, now it’s set.
Hope it works tomorrow also;-).
You seems to know things, so another question if you got time;
I used to have my Homey Pro attached both by wire and by wifi.
Removed the wire because I suspected that it caused problems with two connections.
Is that so? Which is the best connection to have?
The wired one goes to my Orbi router that acts like AP for the ZTE.
It’s okay to have Homey connected both over Ethernet and over WiFi at the same time, provided that both use the same network segment (this basically means that the IP addresses of the Ethernet connection and the WiFi connection have the same first 3 numbers, so something like 192.168.0.X).
But if you need to make a choice, a wired connection is always better.
Thanks!

Thanks,
Have already done that! But I wanted to check if other people suddenly have the same hue issues.
Same issue here.
