Homey Pro early 2023 keeps losing connection

Hi,

I keep losing connection to my Homey Pro. I have tried load of things including new brick and cable, different locations, proxiity to wifi AP. All based on information I found online. It is still happening on a regular basis. It is driving me up the wall and I am very close to switching to a different system, as this is simply too unrealiable to use for my home.

Is there anything that can be done that anyone knows off?

Thanks

This problem has existed for years, and Athom hasn’t been able to fix it. There are lots of workarounds that may or may not work (like downgrading your WiFi network to 2009-standards), but they don’t solve the issue for everyone.

In 99,99% of the cases, Homey has a perfectly working internet connection, it’s just the app that cannot connect to it because of a broken implementation.

That really does suck to hear. I feared as much when I coudn’t find a solution on-line dispite several people reporting this issue. Sad to see that the company appearantly doesn’t really seem to care about it’s reputation. Time to look into HA perhaps… Thanks Robert!

You are not alone. They WiFi support in Homey Pro early 2023 is really bad. I’ve tried everything from changing to really old standards on a network used only for Homey, locking to only one AP…

Just have a look at the connection log (from the router) below. Notice the date and time and the signal strength…
