Homey Pro (Early 2023) - Community Order Tracker

Order nr is 47xxx so I guess I should be one of the first non developer ones? But yeah, no updates yet.

My order from 2017 (Homey) still says ā€œProcessingā€ so I wouldn’t trust that system too much.

Out of my 4 orders from Athom, the only one that says ā€œShippedā€ is the Advanced Flow upgrade.

Damn, I thought I was early. 4000 numbers after you.
Well done Athom.

I’d wish they had a bit more transparency on where they’re at right now.

I don’t really mind it being delayed another month, but I’d like to know now if I can’t expect it until late march :man_shrugging:

I am really curious what they mean with ā€œthe first batchā€. And how long it is going to take if you are not in the first batch.

I have ordered on the first day of the announcement. The day that Homey told us the first ones will probably be shipped before Christmas, so I still hope they mentioned 2022 with that.

I have ordered on the 12th of October, but my order number only starts with 55.xxx.
I can’t imagine they really pre-ordered 10.000 units on the first day.

Why do you (and many others) assume these order numbers start at zero? Maybe the counter started at zero on day 1 (2015?), or just at 01-01-2022.
And they sell more stuff (Backups, Advanced Flow, Premium)…

And, you’re not alone, but why do people hear this:
Homey told us the first ones will probably be shipped before Christmas

when the marketing guy actually said exactly these famous words:
ā€œSo hopefully the first thousands of you will receive Homey Pro before Xmas, fingers crossedā€

And, he also said the worldwide chip shortages affect the estimated delivery times.

The first Homey pro order number is somewhere in the 40xxx series, but there is a whole lot of Ā«deadĀ» order numbers after that. I for myself have around 10 orders for pro 23, but only one valid. There was a lot of problems with they’re website on the announcement day. I assume that less than 50% of orders between 40xxx and 55xxx are valid

The Raspberry Pi shortage started already beginning of 2021 so nothing new here. According to Pi this should be resolved mid 2023.

I assume the marketing department started a crowdfunding approached sale of the new Homey to get a better discount at the production facility and limiting there financial risk. On the other hand this could (but did not fully at least) help them in getting these CM4 modules while there is shortage.

I think Athom could have known this upfront and see that they are lowering their expectations each time we get an update.

Published 2 months ago: As it stands, we hope to ship the first 100 units to developers mid-January.
Then, about until order #61891, we hope to ship in the first half of February.

Published 1 month ago: The timeline hasn’t been delayed since the last update. So that’s good!

Published 2 weeks ago: We still expect to fulfil the first thousands of orders at the end of February

We passed Christmas, half of February and soon end of February so lets hope it will be march  We will get a new blog soon

Still have a working Pro so no worries here but eager to play with the new pro 2023

I moved to a new house and therefore need to set up things from scratch. Before I bothered using the 2016 Homey too much, I figured it made sense to wait for a new Pro, as it was very clear it would happen ā€œsoonā€.

6 months later it was announced, and I sold the Pro within an hour.

So yeah, I’ve been without Homey for a while now, but I can wait, I’d just wish I knew if it was 1 or 8 weeks.

Considering picking up a Bridge for now, as it can be used as a signal ā€œrepeaterā€ later.

It have to be some where after 47149 because that is the ordernr i had on 30/9 when i ordered advanced flows for my second homey that i have. My HP2023 is in the early 50,1k ordernr on the first day. So it have to be between those 2 the first ordernr start for this.

did the same but for me the bridge is disappointing. Very little apps available to support what I have at home. Am in a similar situation atm

Ah… After reading up on it I realize there’s is no community app support etc.
Good - now I know I made the right choice with Pro.

Hi Teddy, I am in the 514… order nr and the status still says: prosessing . Hope to get or see an update soon :see_no_evil:

We can dream I guess, haha.

Little disappointing that there hasn’t been more information. We’re nearly at the end of Feb which was when the last update said they expect to fulfil ā€œthe first thousands of ordersā€. I’d have thought we’d have heard something by now.

I know the feeling. My oder no 589XX

The waiting feels pretty hopeless and very dependent on Athom.
I ordered (and obviously payed) october13th 2022 and expected to have the system by Christmas. The expectation was to change my home automation to Homey pro over the holidays. This feels like ages ago.

I cannot believe they sold 10.000 Homey pro units in the first 24 hours.
But it is also hard to believe they sell that many other stuff from their webshop in such a short time either. If they do I am in the wrong line of business … As others have said, the order numbers cannot be interpreted by us.

Why does Athom not let us know what the expected delivery time per order is. Much better than how they treat their customers now. Even if the delivery time is indicative.
