Homey Pro 2026

Or the lifetime subscription is just for their own testing instances? Hard to say…

There is a function to transfer the lifetime license, seems unnecessary for testing instances since then they would just be able to add a new license as they have unlimited licenses anyway.

I sold my Homey 2023 on its own, keeping the Ethernet stick and the bridge… I just received the 2026.Nothing changes. The old Ethernet bridges still work. Slightly faster to load. But it’s exactly the same. With LG behind the show for IFA 2027, there will undoubtedly be some big changes. We need to be pragmatic. As soon as I heard the rumors, I sold mine very quickly at an excellent price. In France, used ones sell in a day… It seems not many people are looking at the prospects of business.

Cordialement

Patrick

Patrick

@Patrick77520 @Ludovic_Breugnot English, please.

Hello

I also just switched to the HOMEY PRO 2026 on the other hand impossible to activate the HOMEKIT gateway the code generated by the Homey is not recognized

Can you help me?

Warmly

Patrick

Thank you for your return

I wonder if it doesn’t come from the latest Apple updates

I will put all my Apple devices at the same update level knowing that it is a HomePod that acts as a HOMEKIT hub

@Doekse

Any official line on the Thread/Zigbee chip and power supply issues being rectified in this version?

Homey Pro (2026) uses the same Zigbee/Thread chipset as Homey Pro (Early 2023), there are no differences there.

In terms of the provided power supply, we’ve changed those quite some time ago and Pro (2026) also comes with one of these in the box.

Why would you allow for more devices to be added but not fix the issues with the radio, which is underpowered and plagued with issues?

Margins trumping common sense as usual

You seem to misunderstand that this is an English-only thread. There’s a special French subsection of the forum if you want to converse in French.

I even had a UK adapter in the box, very nice.

Yes! Totally didn’t forget to swap that one in the first place, no box reopening involved at all. :face_with_peeking_eye:

I noticed something:

  • My one and and half year old Homey Pro 2023 came with the revised 5.2V / 2.1A adapter (with Homey logo, model HY0028).
  • The Homey Pro 2026 I received recently came with a 5V / 3A adapter (without Homey logo, model HY0045). The printed quick start guide indicates that Homey needs 5V/3A (compared to 2A for the Homey Pro 2023).

So it seems that the power requirements changed.

Is the additional 0.2V not needed anymore for the Homey Pro 2026 to operate properly? Especially when you also use the Ethernet Adapter?

We originally switched to a 5.2 V / 2.1 A adapter because early CM4 revisions used a less stable power-delivery circuit. Although this was improved in later CM4 revisions, we continued shipping the 5.2 V adapters for consistency.

Since all CM4 units currently shipped now use the revised power-delivery circuit, we have moved to a 5 V / 3 A adapter.

I ordered mine about a week ago. IThey are telling me it is delayed due some sort of issue with customs. am new to Homey but have been using Smarthings forever. First question is, do I have to use their network dongle or will any USB-C dongle work?

To get ethernet connectivity on Homey Pro you can use the original Ethernet Adapter but some others also work, you can find them listed here

Thanks
