Homey Pro 2023 using alarm support via a Sirén

Any suggestions on a Sirén that can be used directly connected to Homey Pro 2023 supported by Z-Wave+ or Zigbee to be used Indoor ?

Not really suggestions, because I don’t use any of them myself, but a small selection what comes to my mind:

Hi DirkG,
how to connect the NEO Coolcam Siren Allarm (NAS-AB02) ZigBee to Homey Pro 2023? I tried to add Tuya ZigBee app, but there isn’t that device on the list.
Which app I have to use?
Many many thanks in advance.
Giorgio

If the siren isn’t supported from any app, like it seems to be, then there is no chance to get it work when it’s added directly with Homey.

There might be workarounds to use this siren with Homey. E.g. with the Home Assistant Community and/or the Zigbe2MQTT App. For both you need additional hardware, like a Raspberry Pi and a supported Zigbee USB-Stick.

Hi Dirk,
actually, I found the Tuya ZigBee TEST (Tuya Zigbee | Homey) that should be able to add the device (it is shown in the supported devices and the image is exactly the same as my device), but also this is not able to complete the adding process (it “see” the device, but is not able to recognise it, or correctly communicate) ; at the end it shows it as “WALL SOCKET” and, of course, it doesn’t work.

I really don’t know how to add it to my Homey Pro and how to get help on that.

My best regards
Giorgio

Every device has a manufacturer and product/device ID. If the device is added to Homey, also as unknown or as a wrong device, these IDs can be found in the advanced settings of the device or in Developer Tools → Devices:

If these IDs aren’t listed in the first post of the [APP][Pro] Tuya Zigbee App topic, then it’s not supported by the Tuya Zigbee App.
But in the first post of the Tuya Zigbee App is explained, how to request a device.

I just installed the Tuya ZigBee app and was able to connect without issue - but I was very disappointed with the device itself and will return it. It can by no means be used as a sirene. You can select different sounds like a doorbell speaker - but you cannot scare any thieves with that Temu-like alarm :smirk::-1:
