Since wanting to use energy dongle spent 400 eur on new version homey pro 2023
Made backup. Disconnected 2019. Connected 2023
Found in homey app, restored all seemed succesfull.
ALL MY DEVICES have a red exclamation.
If i take one app, ikea. Restart will not wotk = not installed. Installed by hand. Restart now will work. But still all devices are red exclamation. Do I really have to reintroduce all devices. Do I really have te remake avery flow. What kind of customer support is this? Buy my new version after 4 years and be f**d Thank you!
I managed to repair two ikea smartplugs by pushing a pin in the reset hole. So this is the valley of tears that awaits me. The phrase “amateur night” from the movie ronin comes to mind.
Zigbee devices not responding after restoring a backup
Every Zigbee device needs to be sent a repair command to start working on your new Homey Pro. To do so, go to the device settings on the Homey Mobile App and click “Try to repair” under Maintenance. In the Homey Web App, you can right-click the device tile and click repair.

NO, the Device repair will keep the old Restored Device. All flows wil work after repairing every device once.
I read the text about apps reinstalling autom. But they didn’t. I did not spent 400 euro again to search for many posts on the forum. If i have a new 23 and restore a backup from a 19 the restore app might know what i am doing and provide a bit more guidance and troubleshooting. Even with their own apps like ikea you are left in the dark. People upgrading should know what they are getting themselves into. Might as well switch to home assistant if it is a DIY hobby project.
Just moved from 2019 to 2023 pro version last days.
Just made the choice of not restoring the backup of 2019 version , but build from scratch.( as many people stated / advised)
Pro 2023 version is after 1,5 day completly up and running and working as a charm ( 100% better zwave / zigbee network ) then the 2019 version. Almost every device was connected very easily ( I have around 100 devices ) , some give me some difficulties.
