been using Tuya (the official app) with the same account for the two Homeys

That was not possible as I learned from Athom’s Abe Haverkamp.

But, while ‘official’ Tuya has been declared as NoNo;
Consider moving to the Tuya Cloud community app. It can run on multiple Homey’s without a problem (just tested to be sure).
