Homey native lamp groups not the right device group state

Hi, I have a homey pro 2023 on fw 12.5.2 and my app on 9.4.2.1796.

The problem I have seen is that the state of the new group functions is not right when using moods to turn it on.

I have 11 new philips hue gu10 white ambiance (400 nits one) in one group and use the native zigbee device “app” when there is no app compatible because Philips hue without a bridge does not support those lamps yet. But it should not make a difference to the problem and is not related I think.

Individualy the power state is fine (on when on and off when on). But the logic when looking at the group looks wrong for the group.

When I use a mood from all lamps off to like only 8 of the 11 lamps on, the state of the group in homey stays off. When I go from off to a mood with all the lamps on the group state goes on. When all lamps are on and I go to a mood with a few lamps on the group state stays on (thnhe last one is correct).

When the logic works like this it is unusable in flows and is confusing in the app.

For me on is when at least one lamp in the group is on or goes on, o

ff is when all lamps are off.

Whan can be the issue? Is this a bug? Thanks!

With Home Assistant groups, you get to choose when a group should be considered “on” or “off”:

(the default is “all entities disabled” so if any member is on, the group is on)

It seems Athom has forgotten to include such an option.

Hi,

Yes I was also thinking the same. I hope that they add this in the options of a group.

Hoping doesn’t work, Lionel  You’d send your request to Athom: homey.app/support

Wil do that!
