Hi,
I want to control my hue sensors throuh Homey. I create an advanced flow that turns 3 sensors on if I press a button (on an ikea switch). I have the hue app open on my phone monitoring the status of the sensors, press the switch. Nothing happens. I select run flow from here in the flow editor from the card of the switch. Nothing happens.
I create an advanced flow that just has a start and a turn sensor on card. I Start and nothing happens in the hue app on my phone.
I turn on the sensor in the hue app, change last flow to disable sensor, run flow and sensor is disabled in hue app.
If now I change the card in the flow to enable sensor and run the flow it does work, the sensor is enabled.
What logic am I missing here?
I don’t understand what you’re trying to build. What do you mean by turning off the Hue sensor? Do you mean the toggle switch inside the Hue mobile app? That doesn’t work from Homey.
Sometimes the Hue sensors are a nuisance. You just want the lights to stay on and not go out because the sensor detects no movement. So you elect to turn off the sensor so the light stays on. I am even disappointed there is not some out of the box logic in the hue app for that. I have my GF cursing lights going out automatically at least twice a week. Logic for me is: if you turn on the light manually with the dimmer switch keep it on for 15 minutes so you can do your thing. Then go to auto on/off sensor mode again.
Workaround: create a YES/NO-variable ‘ignore motion sensor?’
WHEN
ikea button is pressed
THEN
set variable ‘ignore motion sensor? to YES
set variable ‘ignore motion sensor?’ to NO after 15 minutes
WHEN
motion alarm ends
AND
variable ‘ignore motion sensor?’ is NO
THEN
turn off light
