Govee Matter issues

I’ve been trying to add several LED strips from Govee (with Matter support) trough matter and trough the Govee app (Matter device). The device is getting found but eventually running trough the adding process (when switching to the white screen, then connecting and adding, it always breaks off without any error). That leaves me only the choice of adding it with the API option.

In general i have noticed that the matter integration in Homey is sometimes hit and miss.
Any body else with this issue, or potentially a solution?

Did you try with both mobile and web app?
Sometimes A works better than B, and vice versa.

Yeah i tried both, the weird thing is some other devices from Govee do work, but it’s a lot of hit and miss. The one i can’t get to work is the COB light strip.

Overall i’m a happy user of Homey pro (i even bought a second as a backup, wish i could run 2 in parallel for contingency). I only have 2 gripes, the matter integration is hit and miss as mentioned and sometimes i’ve had a period of constant disconnects and the homey pro just not working, but somehow after a week it resolved itself…

Same issue here with adding the COB via matter. Haven’t found a way to get ik working in Homey Pro. Were you able to have it in Homey? In the Govee app it is connected via matter and on the correct wifi network. I can use it from their app but Homey gives an error on setting up the wifi connection (which there is no need for since the wifi is already setup by the Govee app)

I have the H61E6 and it works for me. I also had to try many times until it worked. Maybe a reset and restart Homey will he

There’s definitely some underlying issues with Govee. I’ve had a fan that constantly disconnects throughout the day for months. And since the latest Homey Pro firmware update, I have a Matter Level Lock and Eve plug that are also throwing errors throughout the day.

I ended up using the Govee App from the Homey app store and using their cloud solution (and api) to get my lamps connected. No Matter for now…
