Govee flows

Hi

Hoping to get some help with this flow issue. I installed a Govee matter ceiling light last night through Homey with no issues. Today I tried to program a 4 button gang switch for off and on functionality and when I go and try to create a flow it doesn’t list Govee as an app to choose from.

When I check the app in Homey is says no devices are added yet. Did some research and I read that I may need an API Key? I got a key from Govee and entered it, however when I hit the save button it doesn’t do anything or confirm it has been saved.

  1. Is the flow issue due to the API?
  2. Should I be seeing something when I hit save?

Even after installing the API it still says this app doesn’t have any devices

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Oh, it’s Matter… :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

This is because you didn’t need to use an app.
You’ll have to navigate to the zone the light is in. There you’ll find its flowcards.
Example:

2nd: you can use the search bar and enter the (1st part of) the device name.

The device has already been added to Homey and is functional through homey. I just can’t use the device in flows.

Yeah sorry, I rewrote my post in the meantime (I missed the key word Matter somehow :grimacing: )

I can find the light flow cards. Here is my issue

Create a flow:

When: Tuya light switch button 1 is pressed

Then: Here you would search for the app, open the app and select the device. The issue is that Govee is not being shown as an app for me to select. See attached photo (No Govee)

I’m thinking this is because the Homey app is not seeing any devices added yet. This is where I thought the API key was an issue. ( this was a guess )

I figured it out. Enable LAN in the device settings in the Govee mobile app.

Go into Homey and add the device as a local lan device, not a matter device.

That was a lot of Googling  and trial and error.

Thanks for your help though!!
