All the sudden my Google Home integration just disappeared.
No way to reconnect whatever I try to do.
Removed integration in both Homey and Google Home app.
Restarted Homey, pulled power for 15 mins. Force stopped both Homey and Google Home and cleared cache. No change in behavior.
Re-added Google Home seems to be able to see, connect to Homey and control devices via Homey.
But Homey can’t connect to Google Home!
Error message “Link your Homey account to Google first in the Google Home app.” regerdless if I try to re-add from web or app…
That’s odd, I’ve never had it disappear on it’s own the last 5y.
Did you changed anything with the google accounts maybe?
.
What worked for me: it can help to temporarily turn off the phone’s wifi, and enbable the mobile data connection.
Now open Homey app
Next, open Ghome app and add “works with” Homey.
This can take many attempts before it suddenly succeeds. And you need a bit luck.
Wow, that seems like a lot of extra work… I have quite a lot using my Google account like Chromecasts, speakers, … to be re-configured.
So that would be the very last lifeline if everything else fails.
Got this from support as well:
“If the problem persists, it’s usually on the Google OAuth side, and it may help to then wait 24 hours (sometimes an old token gets stuck) or force a new connection by completely signing out of Google on all devices.”
So for now it’s a waiting game (+24hrs), trying Your tip from time to time.
