Not quite sure where to post this, so I’ll try here.
As the title says, I want to control the heat sources in the house based on the temperature registered by the temperature sensors in the same room. The reason I want this is that I experience that the temperature shown in the internal sensor in the heat source deviates quite a bit from what the temperature sensors in the same room say. This is clearly noticeable in the living room where we experience that the temperature is significantly higher than the set temperature on the heat pump that is there.
A little background information on how I have set up the heating control in the house. I use the Heating Controller app to control the heating based on day/evening and home/away. Then I have created my own flows for the different heat sources to set the temperature on Comfort and Eco. The temperature is set based on preset values that are selected based on the outdoor temperature. So basically the house lives its own life all year round, so I don’t have to think about changing temperatures when it changes between summer and winter.
I have the following heating sources:
- Heat pump from Toshiba
- Panel heaters from Mill
- Thermostats for underfloor heating from HeatIt
In addition, I have installed temperature sensors from Aqara in all rooms. When I check the difference between what the sensors in the heat sources say the temperature is, and what the Aqara sensor says, there are quite a few discrepancies. See excerpt from Insights below. As you can see, it varies a lot which sensor is higher than the other, with the exception of the heat pump where Aqara almost always measures higher.

Panel heaters:
I’ve looked at VThermo a bit, but as I understand it, it turns the heat sources on and off. It may work on panel heaters, but the heat pump must be constantly on with even heat to operate best, so it doesn’t work there. The HeatIt thermostats have the option to set an offset temperature, but here the deviations are both above and below the measured temperature, so that won’t fix the problem either.
So the question is, are there options via Homey to connect external sensors to the heat sources so that they heat up based on the temperatures read by the Aqara sensors?
