Fibaro Wall Plug (FGWPG-121) — stale power/energy reporting, plus a driver mislabel bug (assigned as US FGWPB-121)

BLUF: 7 of my 8 UK Fibaro Wall Plugs (only the FGWPG-121 version) have gone stale on power/energy reporting, some for weeks. Turns out they’re all running under com.fibaro:FGWPB-121 — that’s a US driver?, on UK hardware. Not sure it’s the cause but seemed too weird not to mention. One older FGWPG-111 (no USB) on the same Homey has never missed a beat.

Setup: Homey Pro, 7x FGWPG-121, all correctly S2, params 11/13/14 set properly (checked more than once). Along with lots of other devices working fine, network health is good; distances and hops vary. But power/energy data just… stops. Devices still respond to on/off fine, it’s only the reporting that dies, along with not able to push updates (unless powered on/off, but still no data)

Checked the driver via tools.developer.homey.app/tools/devices out of curiosity and every single -121 shows FGWPB-121 — the US type B one (UK is G?). Even a freshly re-paired unit uses this driver, so it’s not some stuck historic thing . Don’t think this is the cause though — but still feels like it might be related?

Bigger suspect imo: these -121 plugs use multi-channel i think (1 channel for the mains socket, another for the usb), the working FGWPG-111 doesn’t use multi-channel at all, reports meter straight at root, could that be related? (i tried to trick it into using 111 driver, no joy)

There’s an old thread here (link) where folks called it “a minor app bug” for a near-identical Qubino/Fibaro symptom, and a couple of people there said excluding+re-adding temporarily fixed it (mine just did too, watching to see if it holds). but that’s not practical really.

  1. Anyone else on a UK -121 want to check their driver and see if you’re also showing FGWPB-121?
  2. anyone else seeing same issue with these 121 plugs ie stale power values
  3. anyone else had this and fixed?
  4. any other plug that actually works?

I’ve logged a ticket with Fibaro.

Why? The app is made by Athom.

Seen similar on none homey platforms too, figured worth a try
