False and ghost reports commands

Hi folks. Recently, I’ve started receiving false flow notifications and ghost commands affecting various devices such as the gate, doors, window coverings, lights, washing machine, and others.
This hasn’t happened just once, but multiple times enough that my wife and daughter have become quite alert to it.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?
For context, I have over 100 devices connected and a large number of flows running. I’m wondering if this might be related to system overload or some other issue.

I’d appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

Hi …, it might help when you open the Settings/General page and see memory load etc. and report this here.
There are issues reported with heavy loaded Homey Pro’s, though your issue seems a bit different. Did you “cold reset” your Homey? Inform the members here about your Homey device, firmware etc.

An app like Audit can help in discovering what’s going on.

  1. Do you use additional hubs as well?

  2. Main question is, what has changed when the ghost got into the machine?
A firmware update? A new device? Stuff like that.

  3. Is it related to a particular protocol, like zigbee / z-wave etc.?

  4. Does “false flow notifications” mean:
the flow didn’t run, but you see a timeline entry of that flow anyways?
    I’ve never experienced something similar.
    .
A known issue is a notification sent twice at almost the same time.

  5. What do you mean exactly with “ghost commands”?
Is it flows getting triggered without any related events?

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, I did cold reset a few times, not at oncce, but time to time. Used to help.

I do know the Audit. Will try. I didnt make any changes over year. Having daily backup and only adding new device when it comes. The portfolio is large and almost every protocol is include. But z-Wave is present in prevalence. 30 Zigbee, little wifi, and some RF if IR. The false (ghost) command I mean for example: in the office a Fibaro turn on the HUE lamp, itself, …or one of the garage door keeps opening and closing 10x in a row, or when washing machine finishes the other washing machine flow sending message that it is done. And so on. Weird, but must have logic behind, in the past I did factory reset and restore everyhing back, it helped for years :-), but reluctant to make this step.

Thanks.
You first can try to reinstall the firmware, it can’t hurt (have a backup available, just in case):

Other hint:
When you can’t discover why a device is randomly turning on, remove it from Homey and re-add it.
You’ll have to fix the related flows. If it’s many flows, there’s a neat script to do it for you.
