Dimmable LED driver, 12V output?

Hey Homeys!

Does anyone know of a dimmable LED driver that outputs 12 V that works in Homey?

I’m going to make my own outdoor lamps using G4 LED’s that I wan’t to be able to dim. I know there are many 240V dimmers that can be controlled by Homey but since I want to use the G4 LED that runs on 12V they won’t be any good.

Cheers!

Shelly RGBW2 is capable and should be compatible.

Looked like a good option…but it uses 12-24 V input power. If possible I’d prefer not to have to add one more unit (transformer) to this project.

So you tought about an integrated power supply and smart dimmer for 12V output?
I don’t think you will find one, except maybe some smart LED strip driver that is sold with a LED strip.

Yes, that’s what I was hoping…but I did realize that it most likely doesn’t exist. But I thought that it doesn’t hurt to ask…you never know. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi, i use this LED driver that suits your needs.

Hey, that’s just what I was looking for! Thank you WimVreugdenhil!

I’m not sure I’ll be able to order from that Dutch site…but I found this on a Swedish site and to me it looks like the exact same unit with a different name.

I’ll contact them and ask if they know if it’s compatible with Homey. :+1:

What app are you using to control it WimVreugdenhil?

Nice. I use the ROBB smarrt app.

So I just got an answer from the “Swedish” site (it turned out it’s a Danish company with a site in Swedish) that they can’t guarantee that the LED driver is compatible with Homey. They suggested that it might work if one connects it to Philips Hue and then to Homey. Sadly I don’t have Philips Hue.

So now I have to decide if I should roll the dice and hope that the Danish version will work with Homey or if I should order the Robb one from the Dutch site.
