Dim lights with Hue Wall Switch modules

Hi All,

I have a question I have a lot of Hue wall switch modules in my house. I’m very happy with them and they are easy to configure in homey etc. I have all my switches still connected to my hue bridge.

There is only 1 think I can’t figure out how to do that.. with the hue app etc it was possible that if you hold the switch for some seconds it will Dim the light or make it brighter.. With homey I have issue creating a flow like that. Is there somebody that has a flow with Hue wall switches or another switch that if you hold it down it will dim the light.. there is nothing in the homey app for those switches like “If pressed long” or something like you see on the Ikea switches for instance.

Please help.

If your button supports ‘one click’, ‘press and hold’ and ‘released’ this will work

Do you have ZigBee lights? You can link any generic ZigBee light to the Hue bridge and then connect it to Homey via the Hue bridge. I have all my Hue Dimmer Switches and lights all set up and linked from the built-in Philips Hue features and then connected the lights back to Homey via the Hue bridge.

I have zigbee lights yes. but I don’t want to connect them to the Hue bridge anymore. I had some stability issue doing that I think I will make a suggestion to athom to see if they can add the Hold functionality to the Hue app in homey. unless somebody has another solution for this off coarse .

How many lights do you have? The Hue bridge supports up to 50 lights. To be able to add more lights, you can either buy a second Bridge (€10-€15 second hand) or upgrade to a Hue Bridge Pro (up to 150 lights with Hue Bridge Pro).

I had 2 hue bridges, but I don’t want to connect all my lights to the hue bridge anymore because as mentioned even with 2 bridges it was quite unstable. Now with homey it’s very stable and want to keep that way. I guess just need to wait and hope they develop this functionality in the hue app
