Hue Dimmer long press button?

Hello, I have Hue Bridge with Dimmer Switch connected (all set up before I got Homey so I want to keep most things in the Hue app for now). However I want to add “long press” on the Power button in a flow in Homey Pro (the “short press” is used for other things in the Hue app), but the only flow card I have is “power button pressed”, no long press (or short for that matter, only press), no dim up/down, noe Hue/Scene-button. Is this correct? I see there are some posts about this but see no final answer, seems like I can get access to more functions by connecting the dimmer switch directly to Homey Pro? The 4-button dimmer switch could be very useful in my scenario but i only get to play with one switch, and only short press… In practice it has 8 buttons if you add short/long press to all of them.

Any advice from you guys? :slight_smile: It is tempting to buy another switch to do what I want but it seems very stupid when all I need is abilty to trigger an event from long press on the switch I already have.

This flow card should be available for the Dimmer switch; it let’s you select the preferred button:

Thank you! Now we have 4 buttons, however no long press :frowning: And as long as the dim-switch is active in the Hue-App also dim up/down are not customizable (fixed to dim up/down). Is there any function in the flow chart that let you add condition “hold button for 2 seconds” or something? I only find delay which doesn’t help in this case.

This post explains how I use a single Flic button to execute multiple actions from a single press. You might be able to use and expand on that technique.

I’ve looked at the specs of the dimmer switch, it doesn’t seem to have a longpress function?
In that case it also won’t be available in the “button” part of the trigger card.
That probably is the same as the physical buttons: on/off/dim+/dim-

I would also love to ask you, if there would be a possibility to add this feature. I recently bought this Hue Dial and I would like to add more functions for a long press card.

I am also missing the long-press functionality for the dimmer switch. Curious why it’s not available because it is a standard Hue functionality.

In the Hue mobile app, I don’t see long press events (I held the button but it just says “Button pressed“):

Maybe this is the reason?
