Does anyone know if it is possible to integrate the Danabridge device with Homey pro (2023). I have bought a Danalock V3 (Zigbee) and tried to get it to work with Homey, but it fails within 48 hrs repeatedly. I have therefore bought a Danabridge thinking that it would surely integrate with Homey via Wifi, but I seem to have been mistaken. I can only control it via the Danalock native app. Any suggestions.
The bridge isn’t mentioned in the App Store at all, so I guess there is no chance to connect it to Homey yet.
Contact the Danalock support regarding the problems with the Danalock V3 (Zigbee).
That’s the commonly made mistake, probably due to Athom’s marketing “yells”.
Unless it"s a Matter driven device, or a zwave/zigbee light, devices almost never work out-of-the-box without support by a matching app.
Had DanalockV3 (Z-vawe) and also bridge.
As i understood, the bridge is a “side product” - used only for their own app/webpage. Homey is connected by additional module ZB/ZW. So, may-be move the door near Homey or Homey little bit closer to the door. Another option may be use some permanent routing device between (if already do not have)
But from my side one more recommendation - make the doors locking mechanism move as smooth, You can. The typical error for DL3 is “out of calibration”. This was the reason, i swaped my DL out ;(
Not 100% sure, what’s the cause ( not had time to do authopsy for lock ) - but suspecting there is inside some (quite) loose connection between walls and gears. So, from one side my own error ( khmm, automatic lock must still handle jamming situations correctly) - from another, as the internet is full similar cry’s, seems also design fault…
Hope, for You this recommendation is usefull, as You can smoothen the lock movement before outofsync goes to chronic disease
This can have many causes.
-
What other zigbee devices do you use?
-
What are the distances and obstacles between Homey, zigbee routers and the lock?
-
Did you measure the interference of 2.4GHz wifi signals of your / your close neighbours?
-
Do you have any other active zigbee hub + mesh network? Like Hue, Ikea, Tuya…
-
Did you tune the 2.4GHz wifi channel and zigbee channel?
You can use Wifi Analyzer f.i., to view all the wifi signals + their channels your phone can detect. -
Did you replace the batteries for real new ones?
-
Does the issue still occur when you put Homey near the lock for over 48hrs?
Thank you for your reply. But I have given up on the Danalock itself. My question now is if the Danabridge can integrate with Homey in any way.
No problem.
I see. Could you please be clearer next time about what you do not want to solve, to save me from wasting my time ? Thanks.
That was already answered by @DirkG in post # 2
Sorry if you wasted time, but it is a waste of my time to specify everything i do NOT want to solve. I think I was clear enough asking about ways to integrate the Danabridge with homey. And since there is no app in Homey, I am curious about other workarounds to get the DanaBRIDGE to work with Homey, which was not answered in post # 2.
No, you just didn’t get the answer you were hoping for
But to be clear: there are no workarounds. You can’t use the DanaBRIDGE with Homey.
I will discuss the topic with the Danalock team. We have indeed only Integrated their Zigbee and Z-Wave locks for now.
Would love to have danabridge included, i bought it years ago, it worked with ifttt but they stopped it. Please keep us informed.
