This is a pretty new feature, right? If so, I think I’ll hold off on creating a ticket about it and see if it gets resolved by itself soon. The last ticket I created took three (3!) months to even get the first respons from Athom (and that thing is not resolved yet) so I think they are up to their neck in tickets that are far more urgent than this. It’s not like this function is critical in anyway…but I think it is a really nice one!

I have long wished for custom notification sounds in Homey and this is a first step in that direction. However I would like to be able to chose different sounds for different alerts like a door slam for when my garage door is closed shut, a woosh when a gust of wind is higher than the threshold I have set, a car alarm armed “beep” confirmation sound when my house alarm is armed and so on…but that is a bit OT for this thread.

Solved with update of the Homey App 9.2.3.1741

I have still 9.2.1 and no new version available in iOS app store.

Edit: And now one hour later 9.2.3 was available. But even after installing that, the critcal notificaions permission is nowhere to be found.

Edit 2: One should make sure that Homey Pro is also updated. Requires 12.4.2.

Hey! For me the critical alert option turned up with updating to 9.2.3 just now. :grinning: Weird that I updated to 9.2.2 yesterday…

Which devices (if there are) automatically sends critical alerts?
This beside a push notification command through out a flow.
Can i see or check it which does?

As far as I know, Homey currently only offers critical notifications via the dedicated push notification card.

Get notified when it matters most

When enabled in your Timeline settings at More (…) → Settings → Timeline → Safety, safety devices like fire alarms will automatically send Critical Alerts to your phone. You can also set up notifications for other urgent events using the Critical Alerts Flow card.

Still don’t have Critical Alers for Homey. Other iOS apps like Messages has it.

Guess a glitch if you where in a beta before. Have you tried removing the mobile app and reinstalling it?

've Critical Push notifications working also, but :

1ste time I got the alarm of my ‘Wake-up alarm’, that’s hardly an alert (I like to wake up smoothly).

  • When trying to change the notification sound I saw a very limited choice in sounds, an all sounds are short.

  • Also, the sound is only played once, I’d excpected it to play until you confirm the alert.

Any way to change both ?

Working fine, but want to exclude notifications from my door locks. Any way to do that?

You send (critical) notifications through a flow I think, so it’s up to you what you send ?

Thanks. Yes you can, but some activity on some categories of critical alert are reportet without any flow. I can see that on a door lock device without any flow I still get critical notification.
