The latest updat of homey app on ios mentioned the support for critical push notifications. I was looking for the setting to configure that critical push notifications are always displayed and accompanied with a sound. Can’t find it though.
Was anybody able to configure and use critical push notifications?
You’ll first need to enable this feature. In the mobile app. Go to More tab > Permissions and enable the Critical Alerts permission:
To send a critical alert use the new dedicated THEN push notification flow card:

Unfortunately, it is not possible to adjust the volume for critical alarms, so that they then sound very loudly. This is a pity and brings only a small added value!
With other apps such as the app from Ajax (alarm system) the volume can be set.
On iOS the sound associated with the critical alert is played very loudly; louder than normal. Perhaps on Android it is not

Either way, you cannot seem to set the volume yourself.

Compared to the other apps, it’s way too quiet in my opinion.
Unless you have the volume on very loud for all push messages, but that is basically not the opinion of a critical message…
No, I have the normal volume set to approx 25%.
When I send such a critical alert it sounds like it is on full volume, so very loud. Strange that it seems to work differently in your case.

First, make sure you update to the latest software versions. Currently, The latest app for iOS is 9.2.2. The latest firmware for Homey 2019 is 12.4.2.

I don’t have the option for Critical notifications under “Permissions”. I have updated Homey to 12.4.2, the Homey app to 9.2.2 and my iPhone is iOS 18.4.1. I have also restarted Homey and my phone. Still, I only have Bluetooth, location and notifications under “Permissions”.
What am I missing? Is there a phone hardware limitation here? I have a iPhone SE.
I have the same issue. Running iphone 14 pro.
Good to know…then it should not be my hardware that is the issue…since the 14 Pro is a much higher tier phone than the SE.
