Control Zigbee socket with flow when no internet connection

Hi,

Setup: Homey Pro 2023, Deco Mesh AP´s router, “Dumb” modem from ISP and Ikea Trådfri socket.

Background: My internet connection is unstable from time to time and i have to reset the modem and Deco Mesh Ap´s. Today i will go physically and unplug the modem from the socket, plug it back in and then when the internet is up i will go to the Deco app and reboot the AP´s.

Solution: Create a flow that will turn off the Ikea trådfri socket that the modem is plugged in, wait 10 sec, then turn it on again. When the Decos are online again, antoher flow will take on and reboot the Decos.

Problem: When i turn on the flow that will turn the Ikea trådfri socket off and then on again, it turns off the socket, waiting 10 sec and then it cant turn it on again. I believe this has something to do with the internet being down but i thought that HP23 could run the flow on-premise and then turn it on again without being connected to the internet.

Do you guys have any thoughts on this? Have i misintepret what is possible?
Do you have any other software or hardware suggestions that could help me fix my problem?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the flow without the Deco’s being plugged into the smart plug?

You reboot your router and AP’s just because your internet is unstable ?

You might considder setting up a router behind your ISPS’s router for Homey and AP’s so you only need to reboot the ISP’s router, your ‘Homey network’ can keep running that way…

Sorry for being unclear, there is a Deco App within Homey that can reboot the Deco. So im using the app, not a Ikea Trådfri Socket. The Ikea Trådfri is only for the modem.

I think im using the wrong name for it, the correct would be modem. From the street there is a fiber cable coming into the modem, then a network cable to the Deco AP. I will change the desciption.

But to check if your issue is with a missing internet connection, or with the smart plug, you should test your flow to see if it works without it causing the internet connection to go down. If it works, then it’s somehow related to a missing internet connection.

Theoretically, Homey should work offline, but many users here on the forum have had issues with Homey not running well when there’s no internet connection.
