Connect IKEA socket to both HUE & Homey

Hi All,

I want to connect my Ikea wireless socket to both systems, the hue bridge and my Homey Pro 2023.

The issue I am running in to is that, for both systems the connection steps require resetting the socket.

So a connection to one system is not the issue, but when I connect the socket to the other system the first one will be lost.

The goal.

I need the socket in HUE to be able to toggle for other users in our home as they use the HUE app.

But I need the socket in the Homey app for some advanced flows.

Zigbee devices can only be connected to one controller at a time, so you’ll have to work around that.

I don’t know if you can import the device through the Homey Hue app, but if not, the only other way I can think of is through Matter (provided that your Hue bridge supports it).

I will indeed try it through Hue. My other socket is connected to Hue as normal and is visible in Homey. So let’s see if that works.

Importing through HUE worked :wink:
