Confirmed Working Setup: Meross MSG200 + Marantec Synergy 380 + Linear MDR/U + Marantec Wireless Wall Station

Just wanted to share a fully working configuration for those of you trying to add smart control to a Marantec Synergy 380 garage opener using the Meross MSG200 and Linear MDR/U for a single universal remote. The situation came about from having two different brands of garage door openers, i.e. - a two-bay garage.

:white_check_mark: What Works:

Garage door opens/closes via Meross app

Linear MDR/U and paired universal receiver remote(s)

Wireless Marantec wall button opens/closes (including light control)

:cross_mark: The original wired wall control cannot be used in this application
:cross_mark: You lose the “lock” button function from the original wall control

:wrench:Wiring Instructions:

Power off the Marantec Synergy 380

Connect both the Meross and the Linear MDR/U to the wall control terminals of the opener (3/4), while disconnecting the wires from the wall control button

The MDR/U has two screw terminals.

The Meross MSG200 has red/black wires.

Wire them in parallel. No voltage is involved — it’s a dry contact system.

:warning: Reminder:

  • Do not connect the original wired wall control – it conflicts with dry contact operation.

Wireless wall station only!

  • Keep your safety sensors installed for UL compliance.

If you’re frustrated or stuck like I was, I hope this helps. It’s a clean, safe, and effective way to add smart control and a single remote without changing openers.
