Cannot verify email – locked out of Homey account (Google Assistant blocked)

Hi,

I’m locked out of my Homey account because my email address is not verified.
Verification emails are not arriving at all (checked spam, retried multiple times).

Because of this:

  • Google Assistant cannot connect
  • Homey shows it is not linked
  • I cannot log in to submit a support ticket

I already contacted Athom by email, but was told this is not the correct channel.

Could a moderator or Athom staff please escalate this to support so my email
verification can be manually verified or reset on the server side?

Thanks.

@moderators Could someone please help escalate this?

This should work:

  1. Go to https://accounts.homey.app and sign in.
  • Tap “Change email” (yes, even if you don’t need to)
  • Enter the same email address you are already using
    • If prompted, choose to resend the verification email.
    • Check spam/junk again after a few minutes.
  1. Forgotten which email you used?
  • Search your mailbox for “Verify your Homey account” to see which address received it.

Once verified, you should be able to log in again

@moderators @Athom

My Homey account is verified and I can log in again.
However, Google Assistant still cannot retrieve any devices.

I have fully unlinked and relinked Google multiple times.
Voice commands do not work and Homey stays disconnected.

This appears to be a stuck / corrupted Google Assistant token
on the Athom server side.

Could support please perform a manual reset of the
Google Assistant integration for my Homey account?

Athom doesn’t check this forum, the only official support channel is:

The moderators also don’t work for Athom, so they can’t fix your account issue.

Google is a pain to connect with.
For me it works when I

  1. disable the phone’s wifi, and enable 5G data connection.
  2. open the Homey app (forcing Homey to connect to the cloud).
  3. add Homey to Google home.

Sometimes you just need to repeat step 2 + 3 until it finally connects (this can be 10 times or more).

Background

Here is a detailed report from someone who has discovered that Google is failing, and Google itself does not want to fix it, or just don’t understand :
