My wife always used Homey as a resident (added by me, as the owner). Recently, she switched to a new phone, and now it does not work anymore. When she logs in her account in the Homey app on her new phone, she only has the option to install a new Homey. I already uninstalled the Homey app on her old phone, deleted her from the family and added her again, so she received a new invite in her email. But when she clicks on that invite, she still gets the screen below.
EDIT
I need to rewrite my response, @DGalama
Tonight I added an existing account to my second Pro 2019, but not without a hassle.
Bottom line, the “Accept invitation?” message should pop up.
(Every time it didn’t pop up when trying, I got sent to the “Add new Homey” screen.)
Before accepting the invite:
Make sure to be logged out from the mobile app
Make sure to temporary disable / bypass any network traffic altering tools (i.e. AdGuard, PiHole, other DNS / ad-blocking tools etc)
open the invite link in a private browser tab, to eliminate cookie & cache stuff.
This made the “Accept invitation?” pop up appear, and I could login to the Homey the invite originated from.
Unfortunately still no success, although I got a bit further. What I did:
Logged out of the mobile app
Connected my MacBook to Hotspot 4G (so no local WiFi with PiHole etc.)
Opened Incognito browser tab and pasted invite link (used Chrome and Safari)
Accepted the invite and but received the error message in de screenshot.
When I try in my Wife’s phone using 4G, I still do not get the option to accept the invite. Also tried this after logging out of the app, and remove/re-add the app.
Thanks for the error screenshot! Something really goes wrong during the very last step, out of our reach.
I think only Athom can fix this. I’d like to suggest to contact homey.app/support right away.
Finaly fixed, allthough no real cause for the issue was found. Together with Athom I was able to add the partner account and accept the invite, but then still no Homey showed up. After some more trila & error we found out that for some reason a refresh of the webpage (the one after accepting the invite) was needed.
After that all worked OK.
