Buying HP Mini in Miami/Fort Lauderdale?

Could anyone tell me where to buy a Homey Pro Mini near Miami Airport or on the way from MIA to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale? I will be in the U.S just one day and won’t be able to spend much time to be able to pick up a HP Mini. The plan is the have a rental car between MIA and the cruise port, so I will be able to drive to a store but I don’t want to spend hours finding one.

Best Buy doesn’t seam to have them in stock at their stores, only at their warehouses.

Why buy on your trip?
You should be able to buy it online and get it send home in a coulple of days.

Simple, in Sweden it cost 3000kr in the U.S it cost 1805kr. That’s more then 30% less.

That’s indeed a big difference, didn’t know that.

Did you consider salestax? And also, make sure you don’t have to pay any fees when you get back to Sweden.
But I agree, the price difference is substantial.

This is usually what trips people up: first sales tax (which, for Florida, is around 7%), then when coming home, and assuming it gets declared as it should, VAT (25% in Sweden) and possibly import fees/tariffs (no idea).

That makes it a bit less appealing: 1805kr + 7% + 25% = 2414kr, and that’s without any import fees or tariffs.

Still, 600kr less and that’s money that I can spend on sensors. The HP Mini will replace my moms Hue Bridge, I have a HP E23 Ultra at home.

How did your HP23 became an ‘Ultra’ edition ?

I have changed Pi in mine, that’s why I call it Ultra

I would recommend using both the Homey and the Hue bridge. The Hue bridge can run updates for your lights, while Homey can’t. You can integrate the Hue bridge with the Homey Pro locally.

I just don’t understand why people think that the Hue Bridge is so greate, I think that it’s junk.

I use both the Hue bridge and my Homey Pro. The reason is because of the Hue app. It’s way easier to set up your dimmer switches with your rooms for example. With Homey, I need a very large Flow to keep all the lights in sync with eachother. With the Hue app, I can click a few buttons and everything is set up. I’ve replaced almost all of my Tuya ceiling lights with Hue lights and it works way better. The Hue app also loads faster than the Homey app, so it’s ideal for quick controlling of my lights.

But of course, advanced automation cannot be done on the Hue Bridge, so for the more advanced automations (like my bathroom timer), I use the Homey.

Hue is primarily made for lights. Everything feels engineered around lighting, so the moment you connect something else to the Hue bridge (like a smart plug for a charger), then it breaks the entire Hue experience in my opinion. That’s why I recommend using both Homey Pro and the Hue bridge.

Anyone?
