Hi all,
I am experiencing an issue with the Brel Homey app where no devices are discovered, even though the BREL iOS app works correctly.
Environment
Homey model: Homey Pro Early 2023
Homey Brel app version: 2.0.2
BREL iOS app version 1.2.5
Hub model: BREL HUB-01
Current hub firmware: A1.1.9_B0.3.4
Devices 7 x TDBU pleated blinds / Top-Down Bottom-Up blinds
Problem description
The BREL iOS app sees and controls all 7 TDBU blinds correctly.
In the Homey Brel app, I am only asked to enter the generated token from the BREL iOS app. The token is accepted, but after that the Homey app discovers 0 devices.
The Homey app does not ask for an IP address, only the token.
Steps already tested
- Verified that all 7 TDBU blinds work correctly in the BREL iOS app.
- Generated a token from the BREL iOS app and entered it in the Homey Brel app.
- Homey accepts the token.
- Homey finds 0 devices.
- Confirmed that the HUB-01 is reachable on the network by ping.
- Checked common TCP ports on the HUB-01, but no web interface or common service appears to be a vailable.
- Tried MotionBlinds as a comparison, but the hardware/firmware appears different and the BREL TDBU blinds could not be paired with the MotionBlindshub.
Actual result
The Homey Brel app discovers 0 devices.
Request
Could anyone please confirm whether the following combination is supported by the Homey Brel app 2.0.2?
If this is a known issue, could yo u pl ease advise whether:
- There is a newer test/beta version of the Homey app,
- There is a workaround,
- The device type returned by HUB-0 1/TDBU is unsupported,
- Or whether logs/debug output can be collected from Homey to help diagnose the issue.
The Homey App Store changelog mentions “Fixes for TDBU”, so I suspect this may be related to TDBU device discovery or device-type mapping. The current public Homey version shown for the Brel app is 2.0.2.
Thank you for any hint or tips,
Kent
