Aqara valve controller T1

Hello,

I can’t find anything about connecting a Aqara Valve Controller to the Homey Pro.
Is this not possible?

Not (yet) directly as zigbee device.
You can request for support with the app developer by posting your request to the app topic (as mentioned @ app store).

But,
by pairing it with an Aqara hub, you should be able to add it as Matter device, without needing an app (but only “valves” aren’t specifically described here).
As a valve is like an on/off device, it might just work.

Anyone know if there is any solution yet to include the T1 valve control to Homey without an aqara hub as mentioned in this thread?

No, not that I am aware of either. I am waiting for this support (Valve Controller → Homey) myself. Why have water sensor support if you do not have valve controller support.

I got this answer from aqara support:
Hi,

We apologize for any inconvenience. Unfortunately, integrating the Aqara T1 Valve Control with Homey Pro 2023 via the Aqara app without an Aqara Hub is not possible. An Aqara Hub is required to connect and control the device, as it acts as a bridge between the valve and third-party platforms like Homey.

Aqara only likes to sell you additional hubs, that’s clear.

  1. Because it’s a simple OnOff device, it might be possible to add it as generic zigbee device, but someone has to test it

  2. Support is requested last December

  3. A compatible E1 hub for example sells for around €25, that might still be an option

Just got the samples today from Aqara! So they will be forwarded to @TedTolboom so that he can work his magic and get them integrated.

Thank Doekse for sharing - look forward to it as this was a bit of a show stopper.. I pushed on Aqara support team to take action as well.

I have testes that. It works fine to add it as a generic Zigbee device. It works as an on-off switch.
Testet it with flows as well. Works fine
