Aqara led T2 help

I bought 20+ aqara led T2 bulbs, I can’t add them to Homey Pro with matter over thread , I’ve probably tried all possible ways, multiple times.

While trying to add, bulbs and homey pro are within a meter.

The bulbs are ok, I can add them to the aqara m3 hub and to the smartthings hub, but not to Homey Pro. I’m attaching a screenshots

. In the last screenshot it is visible there is a thread network called ST-TIZEN and that it is not available? based on the name I would say that this homey took something from smartthing? how, why? Please help!

Edit: added video clip.

The reason is your phone locks to the first thread network.

See the explanation here.

so, what the solution be ?

Maybe turn off other hubs, reset homey zigbee/thread netvork in homey dev tools, try to add devices to Homey thread network and finaly turn back on other hubs?

I don’t understand, the answer/solution is right in the kb article @Dijker linked to?

What exactly aren’t they doing correct, then? There seems to be something wrong with Homey’s Thread network, as it seems to be pointing to another Thread network, which shouldn’t even be possible.

@susniand are the devices still paired with the Aqara and/or the Smartthings hubs? If so, you cannot use the Matter pairing code on the device. Instead, you need to use the Aqara or Smartthings apps (their official apps, not their Homey app) to create a new pairing code that you need to use for Homey.

I read that article even before i posted on forum.

Im trying to connect via Homey Pro and not via iOS.
Same result if I do it with Homey app or Web app.

@robertklep video clip shows brand new Aqara led T2 bulbs, directly out of the box. Also tried to factory reset it (10x on/off)

Yes, brand new devices.

I have other bulbs connected to Aqara hub via thread and I can share them (via matter qr code generated in Aqara app) to Apple home, Smartthings and Homey.

I just want them to be connected directly to Homeys thread network as i dont want to have multiple tiny thread networks.

Update:

Did perform Zigbee network reset via Homey dev tools, hoping it would also reset Homeys thread network …
Also updated homey to its latest experiment firmware 12.7.0-rc.2.

All that while physicly disconected other hubs to make sure they are not interfeering in any way.

No luck, thread network is still here and cant connect anything to it. (see screenshot)

Awww sheet … happy days … off to reconnect all zigbee devices ;(

Hope I can resolve this w/o factory reset of Homey Pro…

Is it Homey or your Mobile already connected to another thread network?

If I understood correct it was the issue already in the beginning with Thread

Not sure if it is still an issue in thread

It says “Homey Pro’s Thread Network”:

But the article you refer to also states that Athom implemented their own Thread commissioning, and that’s what’s failing.

So, what am I to do?

I guess issue a support request: https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/360015784034-Submitting-a-support-request

Resolved;

:thread: My 3-Day War Against a Zombie Thread Network :thread:

So… I thought resetting my iPhone network and deleting my smartthings hub would be enough to kill a stubborn Thread network.
Spoiler: it wasn’t. That thing came back like a Marvel villain after the post-credits scene.

Here’s what I actually had to do to finally nuke it from orbit:

  1. Delete EVERY Thread device from EVERY hub. No survivors. :fire:

  2. Remove all hubs (Aqara M3, SmartThings, Homey Pro — all ye shall fall). :skull:

  3. Reset network settings on iPhone, because why not add some ritual sacrifice to the mix. :mobile_phone:

  4. Turn off Thread/Matter integration in Home Assistant, even though I don’t even have a Zigbee/Thread dongle. Schrödinger’s Thread service was apparently keeping the ghost alive. :ghost:

  5. Developer Tools → nuke Zigbee/Thread network on Homey Pro. Press the big red button. Pray. :folded_hands:
→ After that, Homey created a new clean Thread network and even switched itself to channel 25 (something I always wanted to set manually, but Homey doesn’t let you… yet). :bullseye:

After that… :headstone: Thread network finally gone.
Victory screech! :tada:

:high_voltage: Moral of the story:
Thread isn’t a “network.” It’s a hydra. Cut off one head, two more appear… unless you factory reset everything and banish it from all dimensions.

TL;DR: If you want to kill a Thread network →
Delete all devices + remove all hubs + reset iPhone network + kill HA integration + nuke Homey Pro’s Zigbee network.
Only then… Not today, Thread. :dagger::dragon:
