You can’t of course rely on any wireless device by 100%, but it should work most of the time.
I don’t think one should use Homey as replacement for a real alarm system, or for life saving applications.
There’s a zigbee check script, which can improve reliability a bit, because you’re getting alerted when a sensor is being “quiet”.
