Same problem for me. Two times T1 contact sensors. They pair and gets interviewed. Then no response. Tried both drivers. App version 1.10.3. They should have been working since v1.8.2 in January? Someone got them working? The old once are functioning.
I have several T1 Door and Window sensors with two different product IDs. Both work with Homey:
- lumi.magnet.agl02
- lumi.sensor_magnet.aq2
Using app version 1.10.3.
Thanks for the reply. Hm, can be a problem with pairing in this version. Do you mind try testing pairing? You might loose the connectionđ
I have the Homey Bridge if that is relevant.
Have 13 devices and 5 routers. But also a Hue Bridge network and another Zigbee network on a separate hub with some Frient devices. So it can also be a signal interference problem?
Tried disconnecting two of the routers the Contact tried to connect to.
Do you have the Bridge or Honey Pro?
Haha . Actually I re-paired one of them last week (as I moved it to a different location) and added/paired two of them. I have a Homey Pro 2023 and no other zigbee networks and no interfering WiFi network (those are on non-overlapping channels). Note that one of the types I indicated before is the T1 and the other is the non-T1. I can pair or re-pair both.
I was using HP19. However, in the last week the Zigbee radio died completely, and I have upgraded to HP23. I have been able to connect my T1 Door and Window sensor to HP23 and it works fine.
After the last Aqara app update, I was hoping this sensor would work. So I removed and added it again. But no luck.
I even went and bought an Aqara hub to test the sensor, and the sensor works fine.
I have a request. Could those of you who have problems with this sensor reply to this post and state which kind of Homey you have?
I have a Homey Pro (Early 2019, the non-pro version)
Not sure what you mean.
Are you not able to add the door & window sensor directly to Homey instead of via the Aqara hub (via the Aqara app for Homey)?
Well, historically, there were 2 versions of Homey2019. Standard and Pro. I bought the standard version. Athom has since then simplified their catalog, so my version of Homey is now also called a Homey Pro 2019.
I am able to add the sensor via homey. But it does not work. Never triggers any flows. Never appears as active. And I know it is not an aqara hardware issue.
@SunBeech What kind of Homey do you have?
Ah, I did not know that the older âstandardâ Homey model was rebranded to a pro model.
I have Homey Pro Early 2023. In my case both the T1 and prior (non-T1) versions of the door & window sensors work as expected.
Not sure whether you have also asked your question in the dedicated topic for the Aqara zigbee app?
just did
well actually not this specific question, but a âgeneral issue reportingâ.
Hello
I had my T1 door and window sensor connected to flows and it worked fine. But now the sensors do not give a signal when the door is opened. So the sensor is not to be trusted, I have two pieces and this applies to both. Is it possible to have a flow that asks if the sensor actually works? must be police when I use it as âhouse protectionâ.
You canât of course rely on any wireless device by 100%, but it should work most of the time.
I donât think one should use Homey as replacement for a real alarm system, or for life saving applications.
Thereâs a zigbee check script, which can improve reliability a bit, because youâre getting alerted when a sensor is being âquietâ.
All my Aqara door sensors (mine are not T1) have at one point or another stopped giving signals.
To fix it, I had to remove those devices in Homey and re-pair them. And then fix the broken flows afterwards.
I have no definete proof of why it happens. But I would think this happens sometimes when updates are done, either Athom updates or apps. Some have pointed the finger at IKEA bulps and Aqara sometimes not working together.
Hi Johan. Did you ever get those working? Anyway, I have not.
What kind of Homey do you have?
Well, actually I havent tried anymore since I bought it. Installed IKEA Parasoll sensor instead. Maybe I will try again when Aqara app updatesâŚ
I have Homey bridge.

So I bought a Homey Pro and both sensors work. Must be a Homey Cloud issue with the T1 sensors. The first version Door sensors are working on the Cloud platform still.
@philipostli Which Homey Pro do you have?
I guess there are 3 flavors to choose from there:
2019 standard
2019 pro
2023 pro
