Apple Music to Google devices

Good day,
First topic for me.

I’m about to convert from HA to Homey due to the impression that it is more for me.

There is one thing though that I think will be hugely missed by me if converting and that is the possibility to use Google speakers as a “AirPlay speaker”.
I use Apple Music as my to go streamer for music and today I can choose any google speaker from list of speakers in Apple Music thanks to Aircast on HA.

Is the any similar solution available for Homey today?

I’d really keep HA running next to Homey, it’s possible to add HA devices to Homey and use them if they were Homey devices.
Both systems have their pro’s and cons. HA beats Homey by flexibility and (new) device support.

As of today I think that that is the only solution for me at the moment🙂.
I also have some WiFi Tuya devices that works with HA today and if I understand correct there is today issues with Tuya and Homey.

Thanks for putting me in the dicetion of keeping the Ha installation🙂

Tuya Wifi is still working fine with the Tuya Cloud community app, but it’s not actively maintained atm.
But, the HA Tuya integration is 3000 times easier to configure (pw and QR code scan) , because Tuya supports and developed the integration for HA, ánd it adds all of your Tuya devices + tap-to-run scenes all by itself

True for the “official” Homey Tuya app: Athom was working on an app with Tuya earliere this year, but Athom says Tuya suddenly pulled the plug one day.
I don’t think it will ever happen again, Athom founders said some “quite unfriendly” things about the quality of Tuya devices.

To import HA devices to Homey, I can recommend the HA community app 1000%. I use it since the first published version.

Thanks for your answer.
I’ve received the Homey know and are in progress of installing everything.

Quick question,
I’ve seen that there is one official app for HA and the one you recommend, the community one.
What is the big difference between them?

The “official” app just works;
The community app is magic
You can install both side by side, to see for yourself.
Or take a look @ the community app topic
