I have been doing that for a while, only draw back is you can only control the tuya device via Alexa, but not get devices status changes from alexa to homey
Is it any better than using the Tuya Cloud app?
Itās just an extra point of failure.
There is a way to gather Tuya Encryption Key upon registration of the devices with the the cloud app, once you have that, you can communicate with the local API. Im not sure if this is something youāre interested in or not. It might help a developer find a way to make a community app until Homey gets Tuya to play ball.

So, weāre a few months further now. Just received an E-mail on changes to the Tuya developer platform.
Any developments in the official app? Or has Athom ceased doing efforts here?

The good old, no longer supported, Tuya app still works for me, controlling my heatpump.
I fear the day that I have to re-install this app, which is not possible.

Like Rudi I like to know if Athom is working, in the background, on a good deal with Tuya.
We are! But it is proving to be difficult difficult lemon difficult.

I started looking into homey at the start of the year when the tuya was still working. Have tons of tuya devices so i thought this was a very good idea. Couple of months later i bought the homey pro without checking the forums to see that the app is not working anymore. Now i have a homey pro and lots of devices that are not supported. Even by the other tuya zigbee or tuya cloud apps

Hi !
Iām using Homey to control my AC, it works fine, but the reporting back flow card is not working, or works but delayed with several hours.
The flow card
The events are occuring on my Tuya IoT Device
But does not show up in my Homey, or if they do, itās several hours late
Any thougths.
The action flowcards are working fine, I can control it, but need feedback from the AC to work with other flows.
@Doekse any update on this? All my Tuya devixes are āout of Homeyā for months now.

Mine are still working absolutely fine tbh
Any devices which need a gateway hub are a bit pants though
The only really annoying part is having to restart the Tuya app if I have to turn off any power rings to install new devices.
Itās really poor that no one from Athom has had the courtesy to reply to you about this.
What did you end up doing in the end?
At this moment there arenāt any new updates. As always, Iāll share any news as soon as thereās something to share. Weāve reached out to the Tuya team multiple times over the past few months but havenāt received a response from their side. Weād love to have Tuya back on the platform, but thatās something that has to come from both sides.
