Today the official app finally arrived. I deleted my fan and uninstalled the unofficial app. After that, I installed the official one and tried to connect to my fan. No devices available. I then installed the unofficial app again, but the fan doesn’t show up there either.
I installed to official app, but didn’t uninstall the experimental app. The AC unit added okay, though it lacks several controls like fan speed an modes like Eco and Sleep. I’m going to try to add my current woes on the official app page.
I tried installing the new official app… fortunately it installs under a different name than the community one, as it doesn’t find any devices (and I have 5 fans, a dehumidifier, and a fan heater)
I tried removing a couple of devices from Homey under the community app, and the official app found nothing. So I tried re-adding them under the community app and it found and added them immediately.
And by username i guess you mean email? Because I tried so maybe 10-15 times. Tried closing the original dreo app before making a new try, restarting homey etc etc. I’m 100% positive that I’ve got the correct email and password, especially since I could log in at dreos homepage.
For anyone whose specific product isn’t showing up in the app, make sure to request it via the DREO page in the Homey App Store. It’s possible that your particular model simply isn’t supported yet.
The other thing that I’ve noticed in the overall smart home products, is that reboot or restart helps. Maybe at the device level, or the Homey Pro level, the app level, the iPhone or tablets. Best of luck.
First of, very nice to see this become reality guys. Always nice to see a new brand get official support.
As for the current state of things; Chiming in, same issue with all my devices, I have reached out to Dreo as well as suggested, let’s see how that goes.
@Geordie_Lee have you had an opportunity to work on adding fan speeds? I’ve got the DR-HTF004S and I’m able to turn it on and off and adjust mode and oscillation, but not speed.
Nothing new regarding the issue? I still can’t add my fan neither in the official nor the unofficial app, despite previously being able to use it in the unofficial one.
@Geordie_Lee In your app I was able to install my Dreo Smart Ceiling Fan CLF513S (DR-HCF003S) but I noticed there are no flow cards for turning on and off the light or brightness control as well as no speed control for the fan. Is there any chance you could add those, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you
Hey Mark sorry but im migrating back over to home assistant my time with Homey is up. If i get some free time over the weekend ill have a quick look but ill have no way of testing if the app sucessfully deploys.
