Quick question, how do you force it to low res stream?
I added the doorbell also via the ONVIF app in Homey. To get the lower resolution, just go to the device settings and look at the ONVIF live stream URL. It usually ends in āmainā by defaultāsimply copy that URL into the āUSER live stream URLā field below it and change āmainā to āsubā. Thatās how it works for my D340W.
Hi @Koktail
Iām experiencing an issue with my Reolink D340W doorbell. Most features are working fine, but the actual doorbell press isnāt coming through to the Homey app.
The device registers person, cars and motion alerts but it doesnāt trigger a ādoorbell ringā event in Homey when someone presses the button.
Reolink App: Shows three successful doorbell presses.
Homey App Log: Shows only person and motion alarms, but no doorbell events at those same times.
I generated a diagnostic report for you to look into:
Diagnostic Report Code: 74609275-3d84-4ef5-8730-064a0d57114a
Thanks
Is this still happening in last release? Can you restart the app and send a diagnostic report please? I added some logging for correctly detecting the Codec on seperate endpoints.
Yeah, I have the same problem, app picks up all movements from the doorbell but but doorbell rung events! Iām currently on v1.0.15
What doorbell are you using? And are you using it standalone or behind a hub/nvr?
The doorbell event is working perfectly for me since update 1.0.15. Thanks a lot for the quick fix! ![]()
Hi,
Where can I find the Reolink App? If I search in Apps I donāt see it?
There is only a test version: Reolink | Homey . The app has not yet been made public and can therefore not be found in the app store via searches.
Thanks for the good work you are putting in to this app!
I`v just got a Reolink Video doorbell and can not add that to the app. The settings described is just not avalable in the Reolink iOS app. (Network, advanced, https etc)
Any tip to get it connected?
Iām using the Reolink WiFi wired doorbell with the Homey Hub Pro
Hallo Koktail
A suggestion for improvement or a feature request: If camera 1 or a motion detector, etc., is activated, then camera 2 should move to a saved preset point and start recording.
I hope you understand what Iām getting at. This would allow for even more comprehensive security and significantly increase the detection range of the PTZ cameras.
Iāve already forwarded this suggestion directly to Reolink, and they are indeed considering the possibility of integrating this feature into their software for automation and device linking.
Greetings
Christoph
Can I also make a suggestion for those of us who use the Home Hub Pro, it would be very helpful if we could set a theme via a flow i.e. when I turn on my alarm or everyone has left the house, switch to the Away theme (I think themes are quite new in the hub, they allow for camera setting to be switch as a group when the theme is activated).

Hello Koktail
I cannot set the Zoom function as a āThenā map on the following cameras: E1 Outdoor Pro, Trackmix Wifi, RLC-823S1W.
What are the increments of the pan to the right when using āThenā?
Reolink has gotten back to me. My request regarding the preset function is now being reviewed directly by the software department and will likely be integrated into one of the upcoming updates. They canāt give an exact date yet. They also see this feature as a significant expansion of the camerasā field of view and for smart home applications.
If I receive any further updates, Iāll gladly share them with you.
Zoom in āThenā actions: Iāve identified the issue. The zoom capability detection was too narrow, it only checked for one specific ability flag, while these camera models report it under a different name. Iāve updated the detection to cover the alternative naming as well as device-level abilities. This fix will be included in the next release, after which zoom should appear as a āThenā action.
Pan increments: Each āThenā trigger moves the camera at a fixed speed for 500ms, then stops. The exact degrees this translates to depends on the camera model, the Reolink API doesnāt expose angular values. If you need a larger movement, you can chain multiple pan actions in a single flow.
Hi all,
The new (test) version v1.0.18 is available here:
https://homey.app/en-nl/app/com.reolink/Reolink/test/
v1.0.18
Bugfix: Push notification images not showing on mobile data
Bugfix: Add zoom permission detection
Improvement: Add manual add-by-IP option to device pairing flow (standalone devices)
Are we going to get cards for when the doorbell rings?
When you add the doorbell directly (rather than through NVR or home hub) there is a ādoorbell rings for x secondsā card. Unfortunately the minimum time is 1 seconds, you canāt enter zero for immediate action for some odd reason, but there is a flow card.
