[APP] Reolink

It would also help the ReoLink app developers a heck of a lot if you could include the whole flow, and a lot more details than just it doesn’t work. What other diagnostic attempts have you tried? What model camera is it, and is it connected directly to Homey or through a Home Hub or NVR? (and if so what model Home Hub or NVR). What hardware are you running Homey on? (Pro 2023, Pro 2026, Pro Mini, Self-Hosted Server?) Have you tried creating a new flow with the most basic Start → the Privacy mode on, to see if a basic two step flow works? And anything else you can think to try/include.

Still no improvement to display a Floodlight Duo 2 in this app

Main and Sub outputs display an error or a black screen when displayed as a widget

What can be done to fix this?

Is that a camera that uses H.265 video codec for both main and sub streams?

No, uses 264 for the sub, but still doesn’t display as a widget, only when I go into the camera itself

That could just be an issue with configuration/set-up. Have you played around with different connection strategies (through an NVR/Home Hub vs direct Homey Pro to camera connect etc) and tried tweaking the settings to see if you can get it working.

I have an RLC-823S2 camera, that unlike my other TrackMix cameras, it doesn’t have a H.264 sub stream… the main and sub are both H.265. In theory it shouldn’t work at all through Homey. But I have managed to get the sub stream to work. It requires me to click on the play icon every time I open the Dashboard, as it initially baulks at the incompatible H.265 codec, but it does stream live video.

Isn’t part of the fun of the home automation hobby experimenting… I even tried to write a few lines of javascript/Homeyscript (I’m probably never gonna try that again… but I tried. Think I’ll stick to shell script and Python ha ha  )

It’s connected through the Home Hub Pro and must be or I won’t get recordings.

I don’t have an NVR

Both my other cameras work fine and are connected through the Home Hub Pro

Ahh, I have an NVR instead of the Home Hub. And my cameras are connected to the NVR via a PoE network switch (rather than using the PoE ports on the back of the NVR). That way I can connect them to the NVR for recordings over the NVR’s LAN port, and also connect the cameras directly to Homey Pro. That way of setting them up allows me the greatest control and flexibility. It works for all my PoE cameras, and video doorbell.

(The only camera I have connected through the NVR to my Homey Pro is my solar powered Argus 3 Ultra, as that’s the only way to connect battery cameras to Homey.)
