I hope there will be a successor because this solution is very straightforward. Btw anyone knows how many installations this app has?
Sorry, I quoted a post from the dev Joel;
to read the actual post, you should hit the blue colored text, or the or
next to it on the right
Another indicator is the avatar (which is not mine)ā¦
Is this still working? Itās not finding my Tempest station at all. Not sure if Iām missing a step or not.
Yes, still working. No problems at all.
I donāt know that either. Perhaps you could describe in more detail what you have tried so far.
Check if itĀ“s in the same (sub)network as your homey. If not it wonĀ“t be found
Yep, theyāre on the same subnet and should be able to see each other.
Iāve installed the app. Go to the devices screen and tap on + to add a new device and select Smart Weather, then Tempest, then Connect. It shows the āSearching for devicesā¦ā for a while and then says nothing was found. Both the Homey and Tempest Hub are on the same network, so Iām not sure what else to try.
Deactivate the 5 GHz WLAN network, let Homey connect to the 2.4 GHz and then try to add the weather station again.
You may also need to restart the router, Homey and the weather station.
Does anybody know if itās possible to change the wind speed and distance etc. to mph instead of km/h?
Thanks
Good question.
Pity there is no settings for choosing what us best for you.
I would love to seen m/s, meters per second, what is used in Sweden.
is the app match with this product ? Tempest Home Weather Station
Thinking about ordering tempesr weather station, they now offer deliveries to Europe also, but the app was updates 4 years ago? So future of this integration with Homey doesnāt look too good.
Is this still working?
Can you get measurements in metric system?
Hello,
There is app Smart Weather Station - adds support for WeatherFlowās Smart Weather Station
but
WeatherFlows now offers only different unit: Tempest Weather System
is that unit also compatible to Homey Pro 2023 ?
Petr
Please have a look at the description of the app in the Homey app-store, there is a description of what is supported.
Therefore moved to that ropic
I use the Tempest in the UK and it is very good, Iāve used it for several years and with Homey for quite a while now. It is very reliable, gives you loads of info which can be used in many flows. Well worth the investment.
@Darrell_Etherington are you using the UK purchased Tempest Weather Station, (the latest one) and is it fully supported by the WeatherFlow App ?
Looks like it has not been updated for 4 years, which concerns me it may not cover UK version fully.
Thanks.
It is a UK version and I use the Smart Weather station App that fully supports the Tempest. Iāve not used every trigger but there is a fair selection available, see screen shot below:
All my daily Hue lighting is triggered by outside Lux rather than sunrise/sunset, and curtains/blinds which makes it much more accurate. Alexa announces if raining and garage left open etc. Ice warnings given when getting up in morning if below zero, garage door closes if left open and high winds plus a few other bits and pieces. All works well, weather station is rock solid, never needs rebooting and if you do have any questions the guys out in America are very helpful.
Agreed, the app not been updated for a while but Iāve not had any issues so far and been using this for a long time and proves useful as the trigger or input for many flows.
Cheers
Many thanks Darrell, just what i wanted to knowā¦ and like the garage doors idea !
Andrew
One last question @Darrell_Etherington do you use the Wi-Fi hub with it or does it connect direct to Homey ?
