Did you try the test version? VThermo App voor Homey | Homey
Try to lower the max target temperature
This was the issue so thank you. I was under the impression that running the beta version of the homey app would also install HP23 compatible apps, but apparently not.
The VThermo app crashed today.
When i try to restart the app it says that its not enough memory to restart the app.

Did you check if you have enough RAM memory available on homey? Because this has probably nothing to do with vthermo.
Probably just coincidence that vthermo crashed, you probably just don’t have enough memory available for example a backup and then homey or apps just crash. Wich homey do you have?
Homey Pro 2023.
I have reported this to homey also now ![]()
With the latest beta the memory issue is a lot better, i went from 20% free space to 38% free space. But it has an dns issue so now i have some network problems😅 but its looking okay and it seems they found a solution for the memory filling up.
Hi, I also have the issue that VThermo sometimes stops updating the measured temperature.
For some reason I’m unable to upload a picture from my insights here (“Sorry, an error has occurred”), but what it shows is that I created a VThermo in by bathroom yesterday, and while initially showing the correct temperature it shortly thereafter stopped updating resulting in the actual temperature of the room skyrocketing. The VThermo device is set to use the average of the other sensor devices (a Hue motion sensor and a Aeotec Multisensor 6) in the same zone.
I have another VThermo in another room that’s updating correctly, but I have experienced the same problem before with previous, now deleted, VThermo devices. Restarting the app restarts the updating.
For now I created a separate flow to calculate and update the measured temperature of the VThermo device (as this was literally obliterating the WAF). Any chance you could look into this? Would you like some logs?
Did a fresh install on Homey Pro early 2023. When editing advanced settings it gives an error when I press save: Invalid capability: target_temperature. Can you help me solve this?
I have problems with VThermo controlling my Heatit z-trm3 thermostats. When I set VThermo to ie. 26C, my VThermo gets set to much lower than this, even if there is 15C in the room.
For some reason the room sensors on my Heatit consequently shows too low temperature (currently 15C while there is 21C in the room). My floor sensor consequently shows too high temperature, so don’t know if that’s the aolurion either… Is there a way to bypass the in-built Heatit sensor, so that VThermo controls everything?
These are my settings. I use the old Homey and a separate temperature sensor in the room (Netatmo).
Hi, I am playing around with my new Homey pro 2023 and this Vthermo app, and I love the idea and how it works.
I have made flows now for every room to turn on or off the " knob on the CV" but I am wondering if the app should be able to work with the Danfoss LC13 directly.
I think that it should work, but it is not working without flows.
The danfoss LC13 has the device class that is mentioned earlier, but no matter how long I wait the setpoint is never changed on the LC13.
I have checked the boxes for other thermostats, but maybe I missed something, or maybe it cannot work with the LC13 directly and flows must remain active.
Hope someone can give me a conclusion or pointers ![]()
Check for parent, sub or same room. That might solve it.
I can’t get it to work at all. Did you do anything special to get it to work?
I installed the test version that was mentioned earlier.
I have checked all the right boxes and tried all options.
No joy with LC13
Then Homey doesn’t recognize it as a thermostat. It’s it possible to change the device type for the Danfoss? You can set it for some devices. I have no experience with Danfoss.
Thanks for the tip. Missed that test version. I’ve been a very happy user of VThermo for several years now. Maybe the developer can add the Danfoss.
Is it possible to include a when card like this: Temperature becomes greater than target temp + x degrees? I want my AC to switch to cooling when the temperature exceeds the target temp with 1 degree, but my problem is that the target temp changes based on scenarios so its not fixed.
v.1.9.2 HP2019
Vthermo state does not change.
Issue 1. When moving the target temperature before or after the current temperature, the state is not updated. Settings follow below. I experience this for two Vthermos.
I have created a new Vthermo under v.1.9.2: State not changing
I have created a new Vthermo under v.1.10.3: Does not pick up temperature from any sensor in the same zone.
Maybe the issue under 1 is related to issue 2 described below.
Issue 2: Average temperature is incorrect.
a. When Vthermo in the same zone with two Hue sensors.
b. When Vthermo in the same zone with two Hue sensors from the HA Commmunity app.
Regarding using the Philips Hue motion sensor from the HA Community app. I have written about it here.
Just installed the test-version on HP23, looks good!
