Unfortunately that doesn‘t help
Weird, install the live version. The diagnostic does not show much either. Can you go to the app configuration and copy the log?
Dear all, I started recently with my Homey Pro, and made a successful connection with my Tado X thermostat. I made the coupling via Add Matter device and all devices show up reliable in my Homey Pro. I have installed now the Std. Tado app, and I’m considering adding the TadoZones app.
What my understanding is: (can someone confirm or correct what I learned so far)
- My Homey Pro interacts with the Tado devices via local commands (over matter / thread)
- Tado is planning to reduce the amount of API requests from 20k to 100 per day
- That has no impact for me, since I have a local connection (local API?)
- When adding TadoZones, I enter my Tado credentials and Homey will access the Tado cloud for status and settings (non-local API is used?)
- TadoZones might eventually suffer from the limitation of 100 requests per day. (as I don’t have and plan to take a Tado subscription )
right? Thanks for reading and appreciate your reply.

Hi @Dijker , thanks (for moving my topic).
I’ve read as much as I can about Tado integration and API’s are new for me.
I tried to summarise in my post above what I learned, can you somehow comment on that so I know my thinking is correct? Thank you sir! ![]()
Tadozones requires the 20K requests a day. So if you do not plan for a subscription, do not use it.
It will poll the Tado cloud for geolocation and heating capacity information, as an example.
Thank you Martin. That is a ballpark number I was looking for.
Hello!
I use tadoZones daily, thanks to the developer!
However, I’m having a problem with the “Sunday Schedule” task. When I add it to a feed to configure my Tado X to follow the Sunday schedule, nothing happens.
Perhaps I don’t understand its purpose, or maybe it’s simply not working?
I assume the Tado device (my Tado X) should follow the schedule set for Sunday as soon as I run the task, and revert to the normal schedule at the end of the day.
Also, I can see a parameter to follow Sunday schedules during Public Holidays. Which calendar does it follows? For which country?
Thanks for your help!
