[APP][Pro] Support for ONVIF compatible cameras (Release 2.0.60, Test 2.0.60)

If you look back through the hundreds of posts above, you will see you are not the first.

Can you open the app settings page and set the log level to Detailed information. Then walk in front of the camera to activate the person detection. Then go back to the log page and send it.

Done, log sent.

Thnx for the quick response.

I can see events for the people detection, so I will check the code when I get home to see why it’s not triggering.

I have published a new test version that should correctly detect your people rule.

Hi Adrian, When the motion detection is activated, I receive a message from the ONVIF app, but after a few houres I don’t receive anything. In the reolink app I receive them well. I have person detection and Vehicle detection activated. Stranges that after a few houres it doesn’t work anymore. When I switch the motion detection off and on again it worked again for a few houres.

I now have installed the new testversion, I keep you informed. Maybee this solves the problem.

If it happens again, can you send the Information log from the app settings page.

If you can set the log level to Basic and give it a few minutes before sending the log. Then clear the log and switch the motion detection off and on and then send the log again.

Thnx Adrian, person detection is working perfectly!

Hi Adrian, til now the detection works fine. But I receive also sabotage alarm, but there is no sabotage. In a flow I receive this sometimes as person or vehicle detected.

Could you set the log level to Basic Information and after you get a sabotage alarm, send the log.

Hi Adrian, I send you the logfile. But isn’t it possible to disable the sabotage notifications? All the notifications has a verry big load on Homey. I have six camera’s and use only person and vihicle detection but in Home all other notifications comes in.

Unfortunately, once Homey subscribes to notifications it gets them all as the camera pushes them.

The sabotage alarm is also set if the connection to the camera is lost, so it could indicate a poor network connection.

Trying stuff with flows and the person detection, but when i use the ā€œPerson detected alarm turned onā€ card for notification, i get 4 to 10 notifications for 1 person detection. Log from the camera says:

Using test version 54. Any way to only get 1x the trigger? It’s also messing up my auto recording flow.

Hi Adrian, since the latest version the detection worked fine untill yesterday. Since then I don’t receive any detections. I noticed that the app memory was 107 MB. After a restart of the app it worked fine again. The memory now is 83 MB. Is it posible that five camera’s and a doorbell is to much or is there a possibility to clear the cache of the app or so?

Hi FrankP, I have the same experience. What camera do you use? I have a Reolink NVR with five camera’s and a doorbell.

Can you make sure the log level is set to errors only. I think that’s the only thing that causes memory usage to increase. It could be that you are getting lots of errors that is causing the log to fill up, so I will make sure the limit is reduced when on the minimum level in the next update.

Thanks Adrian, I have set te log on errors only. A limit is maybe usefull.

Hi @Adrian_Rockall , I have Hikvision cameras and the person detection feature isn’t working. I’m on the trial version v2.0.54 and Enable Motion Detection is enabled.
I’m sending the Detailed Information log.
