[APP][Pro] SolarEdge + Growatt TCP modbus

Now it works after reinstallation, thanks

Hi,

Still testing my flows, it looks like setting the ā€œCharge/Dischargeā€ to 5000 sets the battery to discharge at 5000w for a minute or two, then it stops.

I would like to stop it myself given certain conditions. Is there anything else thatā€™s stopping it now? I have no other flows or automations running on the inverter.

Thank you so much!
Mats

Donā€™t mind me, I figured it out
Sungrow requires a start and stop time in the settings for when discharging is allowed.

Thanks again and hope this help someone else.

@Edwin_Biemond - Testing the Sigenergy integration and it works great.

I have a request for future improvement to add the WHEN card when either Grid_Power, Consumed_Power or PV input has changed, thanks!

will do

Hi Edwin,
Unfortunately, the topic is still relevant. It would be super interesting to add the inverter several times, but with other device classes to use Homey Energy.

I had an interesting Discussion with Adrian_Rockall. In his app Sofar he solved it this way, because he didnā€™t know how to help himself otherwise.

Would that be an idea for the future? Unfortunately, I still have not found a way to create a virtual smart Meter.

Warm regards

hey,

what do you mean?

you want to use sone p1 smart meter on your inverter? This will be hard because no inverter api or is there some device which acts as modbus meter which you can invoke?

or the meter on your inverter also as an extra smart (p1) meter device? this is possible I guess.
what other device classes?

thanks

Yes, i would Like to use the meter on my inverter also as an extra smart (p1) meter device. Sorry for my English I canā€™t always express myself so well :joy:

can virtual devices do this?. because I will do the same , detect a device with battery , get those capabilities and publish them on a new device class like p1 meter.

@Adrian_Rockall
Do you think this could work?

Iā€™m not sure as I havenā€™t played much with virtual devices.

probably you cannot define device class. had the same on HA to Homey and home assistant community app added this for me so it shows up on the energy tab.

I hope for more opportunities with the new design of Energy just presentedā€¦

donā€™t expect a lot will change , they use p1 meters and I see my 2 inverters.

inverter can have meters and will know the houseload but homey will try to calculate it by using p1 for grid and inverters for PV, rest you have to add a lot of smart socket /meter devices to close the gap

It isnā€™t possible for me to get any data from the app. It keeps empty. What am I doing wrong?

Dit you enable modbus and set the correct port? 502 I thought.

I did use port 502, but how/where do I enable modbus?

If that really were to be, it would really disappoint me, but you could be right.

But the need seems to be there, in the beta test group it has already been requested a few times.

In settings of yor converter. You can read about this in the start of this topic.

but maybe homey will work with all the inverter companies and make this dynamic prices working when you also have a battery, do (dis)charge, but I expect they will charge some money for this.
