No problem.
Unfortunately I don’t travel much these days, but thank you for the thought.
Donations is probably a good alternative to travel and a real beer. I just made one because thanks to your app, I can control my Samsung Cube Air purifier from Homey! Enjoy the remote beers
Good point, will follow you.
To be fair, I think the donation button only available in the app store has a low visibility. I think Homey should add and highlight the donation button in the settings page of each relevant apps within the Homey mobile App
If you want to find it you will find it
Agree but it’s sometimes easy to forget about it.
New Homey users will visit the page with the donation button only once, to install the app. At that moment they don’t know yet if they satisfied with the app.
The mixture of official and community apps is not helping either.
I know it is not going to be a suggestions popular amongst Homey users that are not developing apps, but I think Homey should even send notifications once in a while to remind them that some apps they are using are supported by donations. It’s off topic but it would be great to better support developpers that are helping growing Homey
You are right, I am an example (using homey for just few months now) and was writing about a „beer”, whereas you have just a simple and available tool to express appreciation, I was not thinking that way and I do thank you to turn my attention towards it.
I think the solution might be to have a community store in parallel to the official app store(as hacs in ha) and than using these apps would just have this element pretty straight forward…
I do not know, anyway thanks for your reminder, it has been to the point.

Due to a TV’s energy saving options, it’s a possibility you’ll have to enable some setting to have it listen for network commands while it’s on standby.
Connecting the unit to LAN instead of wifi might help as well.
Dunno for Samsung, but as example, on my LG it’s called “enable mobile tv on”, to allow apps and other devices to turn on the tv.
When it’s disabled, I can turn the TV off, but can’t turn it on by Homey / LG phone app
I have checked the log and the data is showing correctly, unless you are drawing 105390 Watts from your socket (note that is a thousands separator and not a decimal point)
The “energy” value in the log is the total power used in kWh and there is no “power” value reported. I have never quite worked out what the deltaEnergy is.
This is a link to the possible values for “powerConsumption”: smartthings-capabilities/json/powerConsumptionReport.json at master · hongtat/smartthings-capabilities · GitHub
I haven’t yet found a device that reports power, or if it does, such as in the case of my washing machine, it is always 0, so I try to estimate it by using the change in energy between readings.
Thank you Peter,
There is exactly same option in Samsung, I think it even has same name. I have this option on, even tried to have it off, but than it does not work at all. I was thinking about connecting tv with an Ethernet cable however the location of the tv makes it slightly difficult (I live in a flat, basically have just 5 connection points and that is it…).
If everything fails I guess I will have to live with it unti next tv set
Have a good Sunday, cheers. J

Hi @Adrian_Rockall thank you for checking it, I think I didn’t explain it well. The value is indeed correct, but I think Homey and SmartThings use different terminology for the same thing. To me, it looks like the “energy” value in the log should be aligned to “Power” in Homey.
This is in SmartThings (note the fridge stopped using energy for ~3 hours):
And this is in Homey:
On the screenshot below, note that we don’t see when the fridge stops consuming energy for a few hours because in Homey, unlike “power”, “Energy” aggregate the data:
6 hours graph:
24 hours graph:
In short, I’m convinced that if you align “energy” from SmartThings to “Power” in Homey, it would be correct.
On a side note, I think I just realized what the deltaEnergy is. It’s just a guess here but I think it’s what SmartThings does to compare power consumption with the previous month:
The energy value is reported directly from the value passed in via the API. It’s SmartThings that is summing the power to provide total energy used since the device was first manufactured. If you keep monitoring the log you will see the value constantly increases and never reduces. The number passed in is in wH, so the app divides it by 1000 for the Homey capability as that is in kWh.
I can assure you that the values are not swapped.
Note: Power is in W and is an instantaneous value.
Thanks Adrian, I enabled the log and I’ll let it run for a while to see what I can see on this device.
If that also applies to this smart plug from Tapo then there is no chance for me to see the real energy usage being reported in Homey under “Power”
Edit:
You were indeed right and log only shows incremental value Nothing you can do since the measure_power is always equal to 0.
Thanks for looking into it. I can either wait for Matter energy support in Homey or buy new smart plugs.
It’s frustrating as I want to know the power usage as well and already asked questions on the SmartThings forum.
Good morning,
Just checked again in the morning what happens and this time homey switched on my tv without any issue.
It is so random that I have no clue anymore, my theory about the tv going offline crashed…
I think i just live with it until next tv set
Have a great day and week.
J.
Goodmorning @Adrian_Rockall ,
I have a Samsung Washmachine with wifi and now i want to connect it to Homey. When i do that with the instructions for this app and i add the washmachine in Homey. I only get for a few seconds some information about witch program the wasmachine is using, how many voltage, energie, etc… After a few seconds i dont get any updates and the voltage changes to 0. What do i do wrong?
I just send the Logging to you (09.53h).
Hopefully you can help.
Since yesterday my samsung soundbar doesnt respond anymore. I already restarted the app, but then it works for a few minutes and then it doesnt respond anymore. I also mada a new token and deleted the soundbar and add ik again with the new token. But the same problem.
Hope the developer can help me, this is the code of the diagnostic report:

Anyone else can help me out? See my earlier post problems with connecting my washing machine to Homey. Thx for helping!
