Just FYI about v2.6.6:
The MW spikes are gone and the daily yield + MPP C tracker work great. Thanks, Richard
Sound great, when will the 2.6.6 become available?
I’m experiencing the same MW spikes.
Thanks in advance.
It is available as a test version, and will be live when the release is approved by Athom
Hello, since the last update the data from the inverter is not available in Homey anymore.
The last update of the shown data is 5 days ago.
I can see this error message:
2025-02-11T02:12:18.066Z
Error: connect ECONNREFUSED IP Address:502
at TCPConnectWrap.afterConnect [as oncomplete] (node:net:1555:16)
I checked the IP address of the inverter and it’s still correct.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Have you maybe tried to restart the app? Sometimes after a new version this is required.
Thanks for the fast answer Richard and for the easy fix ![]()
It works again. Have a nice weekend
I also can confirm that spikes are gone.
I test the new beta version of the energy panel. Unfortunately is the SBS 5.0-10 presented as solar power and not as battery. This also leads to wrong graphics.
Is there a way or trick to register the SBS 5.0-10 as battery?
I looked into it. I wrote a script to change classes, settings and the energy object.
The SBS should have the class battery and not solarpanel. Also the homeBattery flag of the energyObj should be true. The batteries array can be set to [ ‘INTERNAL’ ]:
energyObj = {
batteries: [ "INTERNAL" ],
homeBattery: true
};
This will result in
Unfortunately there is no battery tile coming up, but a battery is shown at the house. Perhaps this can be a bug or something undocumented.
The total energy daily graph is not working correct. Total energy graph is working with data from the SHM 2.0. The problem here is, that the measure_power property don’t show negative watts, if the system exports energy; the property measure_power.surplus is showing the exportet energy.
I have SMA Sunny Tripower 10.0 Smart Energy hybrid inverter.
Is there anyway we can get control over the battery charge/discharge-power and start/stop?
I seem to have a similar problem, getting below message. This seems to be sort of random, sometimes days-weeks withoutany problem and then suddenly no connection. It appears the app is not trying to reconnect, it just aborts.
When restarting the app it does connect, without any changes to settings, IP address or router restart.
Does anyone have a clue why this is happening? Is there some fix or setting to change? I have some flows connected to the SMA inverter to only switch on certain devices if there is sufficient solar power.
Any hints are welcome! Thanks!

My brother has created an adapter that allows me to control the battery. It sets the “Time window control for charging the battery-storage system” via Homey flows ![]()

Hi All,
I have also a SMA Sunny Tripower 8.0 Smart Energy hybrid inverter.
I am not able to adjust the 'Ingestelde rendementsgrens"
The massage i got:
reading other values is doing fine
I bought a new SMA Sunny Tripower Smart Energy inverter that will be installed this week. I wondered what the advantage (additional functionality) is that the SMA Home Manager 2 will provide, compared with the new Homey Energy Dongle. Anyone who can share expertise / opinion? (Batteries wil be installed next year ) Thanks!
same here, looking for a solution but did not yet find it. Let me know when you get further on solving. thanks!
the same problem here. Did you find any solution?
I have the app restarted at sunrise;
This seems to eliminate these modbus control errors.
When even that doesn’t work (anymore), you’ll have to disable & enable modbus per inverter webpage:
Or,
just kill the mains power for a minute, when it’s dark.
(When you really can’t wait for the dark, you could switch off the PV inputs, but that is really not recommended in case they produce power, DC power!)
To me HM2 doesn’t add anything I need, compared to Homey + Inverter app + P1 meter (I use Homewizard & Slimmelezer+).
I’m using the [APP][Pro] Power by the Hour: Insights per hour, day, month and year app, to control the inverter grid output based on dynamic energy prices;
Example:
I’ve upgraded to Homey Pro 2023 (connected via LAN) and the errors are gone. There is a bugreport here Future Request: Sporadic "Failed to Read" for inverter (eg. Tripower STP 6000TL-20) - please let us choose the number of connection retries · Issue #40 · ricott/sma.modbus · GitHub created by me as well.
