[APP][Pro] Qubino Pilot Wire

Hi,

I’ve just published an App for 2 specific Qubino Pilot Wire devices, ZMNHJD1 and ZMNHUD1 on Homey.

These devices are no more produced and official Qubino App does not plan to integer them.
So, I planed to make a dedicated App after a French Homey forum thread asked me to.

This App has been developed based on the work of :

Hi Serge,

It looks like everything is properly installed on the module side :+1: — but if the temperature sensor isn’t reporting, it’s often a small configuration or compatibility detail.

'installation est ultra simple en passant par l’application packager de homey. J’ai pu intégrer tres facilement le module et celui fonctionne parfaitement. Un plaisir. Par contre, la sonde de température ne remonte pas.

@Herve_Domotique as tu plus de résultats?

Hi Julien_31,

Yes, that’s normal. I created the App with exactly the same code that the previous one, with only few adjustents.
If the temperature sensor wasn’t reporting, it won’t be reporting neither with this first public version.
I can surely add temperature sensor but to do this, I need a device and as you certainly know, it’s no more produced.
So, I will work on a “full logged” version to catch, with your help (or another one help), all the device logs and try to guess what should be done in code to add the temperature sensor.

Hello @SergeP , @Julien_31
I can confirm that I performed the same steps as you, @Julien_31 , and got the same result, but that’s perfectly normal given @SergeP’s translation of the app and his information. Let me know if you’d like me to try anything to help find a solution?
I’m new to Homey Pro (only 15 days) but I used 10 year an another box but I’m interested, so feel free to guide me

Hervé

Hi,

Thanks to Julien_31, I finaly managed to integrate temperature sensor in both devices.

It was a pain because their firmware is very old and no longer really compatible with the latest versions of Z-Wave on Homey.
But with a bit of tinkering, I managed to query the device directly to retrieve the temperature. I also added an option in device settings to set polling interval (5 minutes by default).

Finaly, all is working and you can test it with the last test version.

I also adjust code so you won’t have to remove and repair your old device but I don’t know if it’s really working. If this doesn’t, you’ll have to repair your device after installing this driver version. Don’t forget to save your flows before removing old device !

@Herve_Domotique do you have test?

Hello @Julien_31, and @SergeP ,
I will test tomorrow and I will let you know the result.

Hello @Julien_31 and @SergeP ,

I tested the version of the app v 2.0.1and during inclusion everything was perfect  but for that, I had to put the Homey Pro box close to the Qubino and now that it has returned to its place, power Off/on de la Homey Pro, i lost the température.
Power Off/on du qubino : idem
Test contact : OK from Homey to qubino
Power off/on de la homey pro : always temperature NOK :face_with_raised_eyebrow: .

Restart application Qubino fil pilote : always temperature NOK :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Best regards

Hi Herve_Domotique,

Can you just try to modify update delay in device settings to see if it works ? You can set down delay to 10s, for example, just to test.

SoPhos

Hi SergeP,

I had already tried changing the update delay, but it didn’t work, and I tried again with the same result.

I removed the Qbino and performed a complete factory reset (without connecting it).

I then reinserted the module without the probe connected, using a double power cycle instead of the switch.

I received some information and was able to change the update delay. Without the temperature probe, I got 5537° (which indicates communication :slightly_smiling_face: ).

I placed the Qbino back in its original location and connected the temperature probe.

Everything is working correctly   .

The V2.0.1 is very good solution for the Qubino ZMNHDJ1

Thank you so much! @SergeP and @Julien_31

Best Regards,

Hervé

Hi Herve_Domotique,

Happy all is working fine now ! :+1:

I thnik there was a bug due to my wish to keep your existing devices working. I added this part at the end but it was definively a mistake. Deleting and re-creating your devices made the job…

Don’t forget to adjust update delay in device settings at a proper value. I don’t think you need to measure temperature every 10s and it would not be suitable for your Homey.

And many thanks to my neighbour @Julien_31 for his great help !

Salut

Could you explain how you reset your modules to factory mode? Did you proceed as follows:

Connect the device to the power supply or restart it.

  1. Within the first minute (60 seconds) of the device being connected to power, toggle the switch connected to terminal I1 five times within 3 seconds (5 state changes of the switch — the device must receive the On/Off signal 5 times, meaning: press the button 5 times, or with a standard button: On/Off/On/Off/On/Off/On/Off/On/Off).

Are you sure the temperature changes gradually over time?

Thanks in advance, Julien

Hi @Julien_31 ,

for the factory reset, i have

  • Power off/on the device
  • Press and hold the S button for about 20 seconds

After, i then reinserted the module using a double power cycle instead of the switch for every step (don’t use the S button). When the module was reinserted, the temperature probe was not connected, and it worked again as soon as the probe was reconnected.

For the température i put refresf all 30s and i obtain

and data

For me, that’s good

Ok il will test tomorow
