I just bought a Venus E with Firmware 122 which I can talk to through the App. I also enabled the local API and was able to add the device to the Homey Pro (latest beta App) without a problem. However, the App does not seem to receive any Data via the local API (cloud seems to be working somehow). Do you have any idea what’s causing this and how to fix this?
Hi, check if the polling of the batteries is enabled (in the setting of the battery device), also check if the local API of the battery itself is enabled (see troubleshooting header in readme on top of this page).
I have experimented with a BLE device in Homey. Unfortunately the Homey bluetooth chip does not seem to be able to recognize the services broadcasted by the Marstek battery. I’ve not persued this further…
Yes, I‘ve enabled both. Still no communication.
Check if port number if correctly set on the battery to 30000, possible through mobile app or BLE tool. Please also check the troubleshooting part and known issues; if you have P1/CT002/CT003 working with battery, things might fail. You can also try and add the (API) device to homey again. If all fails, install the latest TEST version and send a diagnostics report.
Port is set correctly and I’ve already tried deleting and re-adding the device. And yes, I’ve also installed the latest test version (will send a report later) and I am using a CT002 (which might be the problem here).
Edit: I’ve enabled the diagnostic protocol. How I can I access or send the protocols?
CT002/003 setup seems to block (good) communication with the local API. Hopefully something that Marstek is able to fix… For diagnostics; Go to the Homey settings, select the Marstek App, and use the diagnostics button. Thank you!
Hi, I have just purchased my 1st Marstek Venus E v2 battery and as most of you trying to hook this up to the Homey to be able to regulate te charging/discharge in combination with the EV charger and solar panels. Some observations/question after reading this blog:
I hope this feedback helps to improve the app and maybe also the quality of the Marstek API interface. Thanks for all the work already done ![]()
Some additional feedback:
I created an error report, the link is

Hello, I have two batteries, one a 2 and one a 3. I’m not reading anything via the local API; I’m only controlling the modes. I’ve already noticed that the local API connection isn’t working twice. The only solution is to reinstall the app on Homey Pro and reconnect the batteries, and then it works for a while. Does anyone have experience with this? Reinstalling the battery connector.
Hi Stefaan, I’m also curious why this happens; perhaps the IP addresses change? I’ve taken some precautions to catch such an event. If you happen to use the TEST version; please send a diagnostics a some minutes after you’ve added the devices again (so also after they stopped registering). Thank you!
You gave me a good tip there. I think the IP address has changed, because I’ve had a few long power outages due to construction work on the street. After a power outage, the router will probably assign a new IP address… I’ll look into it… Thank you very much.

Strange my other v2 does not has That problem
The Homewizard P1 indeed works, but it only allows one battery, so if you have 2, it doesn’t work ..
Wasnt there a plan to also allow TCP for the API?
