[APP][Pro] Marstek Energy Storage

I’ll check it out

Is it possible to connect 2 or more Marstek Venus E to Homey by this APP ?

Is it also possible to see 2 or More Marstek Venus E as 1 Battery ?

Yes more than one is possible, no the modbus method does not allow for device groups to be seen as one, sorry.

One more question: I will have 2 Marstek Venus E V2 batteries.

Can I use them both with only one EW11 ? Just put the A and B off both batteries and take 5v from one ? (ChatGPT told me also not to take the 5v from the battery)

That is what ChatGPT told me :

:one: RS485 bekabeling (daisy-chain)

RS485 is een bus β†’ alle apparaten worden parallel aangesloten op A en B:

Elfin RS485-A ──────────────┐
                            β”œβ”€β”€> Battery 1 RS485-A
                            └──> Battery 2 RS485-A

Elfin RS485-B ──────────────┐
                            β”œβ”€β”€> Battery 1 RS485-B
                            └──> Battery 2 RS485-B

@Kaoh How do we need to configure 2 marstek e venus batteries? Is it the same or do we need to change something somewhere. I will use 2 ElfinEW11 devices

@Stijn_Van_Heeswijk thanks for the info. For step 8, maybe you can also answer my question above?

Add the Homey Marstek battery device twice and give them each a different config and name. They should just work as seprate devices

I dont think that is possible, using the A and B from two batteries to a single comm port would cause weird readings I am sure. I do not think it will handshake even.

Oops, thanks I am blind you are right

Can you try 1.0.6? I dont see errors in your log, the static data is the part that only gets triggered once the app loads. I added a catch around firmware version detection, and I skip the device fault modes.

@Kaoh sorry am quite a newbie sorry. At the message where @Stijn_Van_Heeswijk answer what i need to do at step 8. What exactly do i need to rename if i want to add a second battery?

Seems 2 work! I’ll test further when i’m home tomorrow. Thank you for the work!

You add one EW11 to your First Venus (lets call it device A)
You follow the steps mentioned by Stijn only.
Now add a Homey Marstek Venus device (this app)
Rename the newly added device in Homey to Venus Device A for example and configure the EW11 ip and port to start communication.

Now add one EW11 to your second Venus (lets call it device B)
You follow the steps mentioned by Stijn only.
Now add a Homey Marstek Venus device (this app)
Rename the newly added device in Homey to Venus Device B for example and configure the EW11 ip and port to start communication.

So twice the same setup

Thats clear! Thanks i will try it tomorrow

Last night it was werking fine. Inclusief all functions. Only this message when opening the device.

But this morning, the device is unreachable.

The gateway path error is just a network communication error, so I would say there is a wifi connection stability issue.

The others are fault codes from your battery, could be true, could be that the v3 does it’s fault differently from the v2. But it’s hard to determine that by myself. Let’s keep the community in view on those.

Your right. The ew11 is offline somehow.

Reconnected the ew11 and now everything is working again.

So it happened again. EW11 offline. Unplugged it and plugged it back in. Solved. How could this be? The Wi-Fi is really good, everywhere in the house.

That’s difficult to answer, for me the ew11 is rock solid for weeks… but today my CT connection keeps going down while both battery and p1 are online.

Hi @Kaoh

Setup was pretty easy but i can’t do much of cammands when i change a setting i get almost every time a error.

Backup mode on of works well hah

Did you send me a diagnostic report?

And restart the app once please
