Introducing HomeyLink

Link multiple Homey Pros for unified control.

HomeyLink makes managing multiple Homey Pros seamless and convenient, empowering you to create an even better smart home.

By linking a secondary Homey Pro to your primary one, you can access all devices from the secondary system directly on your main interface.

Setting up HomeyLink is straightforward. Simply install the HomeyLink app on your primary Homey Pro — any model works. Try it yourself

HomeyLink Benefits

Easily control devices in different locations.
Linking multiple Homey Pros with HomeyLink provides seamless control over devices in different locations, such as managing your guest house’s smart devices from your primary Homey Pro at home.

In addition, HomeyLink allows you to integrate devices used by elderly family members into your own setup, enabling quick status monitoring and providing peace of mind.

It also benefits larger homes, where two separate Z-Wave networks may perform better than one. These are just a few of the many compelling use cases. If you have multiple Homey Pros, give it a go!

Quote from the Appstore (Version 1.0.7) :

HomeyLink enables seamless device sharing between your Homey Pro systems by connecting a secondary Homey Pro to your primary one. When connected, all devices from your secondary Homey Pro appear and can be controlled directly from your primary system.

This app only needs to be installed on the primary Homey Pro, which can be any model.

Important: While you can control all shared devices from your primary Homey Pro, advanced features are limited. Device-specific Flow cards and certain functionality will only be available on the Homey Pro where the devices are physically connected.

Hello,
Is there a “how to” to this app ?

Not yet,

Add the app to Homey Pro
Add devices and follow instructions to login to the other Homey
Select devices from the other Homey

Finish.

Done, guess this is the HowTo
Do you have other specific questions?

Thanks, it works. I added 155 devices from my 2nd Homey (200Km afar)
HomeyLink doesn’t show in the app list when you try to find it from the search bar (after install of course). I had to scroll down to find it

Nice to see this app published!

EDIT

Feb 5, 2025:
Solved: Emile made a fix for the error I reported, caused by devices of disabled apps.

Original post:

Just FYI, I can’t get it to work yet though.
I own 2 Pro 19 models, both on same subnet, both on fw v12.3.0

It can’t find any devices from Homey1 to Homey2, it throws this error;
Same issue the other way round

I use the same owner account at both.
(Reported to support as well)

For me same, neither installed or removed.

I see you need to install and scroll down installed apps.

I linked 1 HP2023 to the other, it added ~ 70 devices.

couldn’t add a second HP201x but also after removing everything and adding the HP201x as first I got the same error. Also send a report but I am on holiday so no formal support ticket created.

I’ll keep you posted.

Neither does it show up in the app store by searching; probably they want to have the ‘early birds’ do some testing with it first
I tried these:
homey
homey link
homeylink
link

Works fine for me:

I always use this search bar

Obviously that doesn’t search everywhere apparently
How should I know (after using it for 4.5y) :beers:

Promo mail:

Didn’t receive a promomail (yet?).
Perhaps only sent to those with 2 Homey’s in their account?

Have the same error, trying from a HP2023 to add a HP2019 (in a different IP segment).

No idea if they talk in between via cloud or direct.

Works for me 2 pro 2023 One at home , the other at the cabin .

Will try to add a pro 2019 this weekend .

Anyone know if i should pick the same zigbee channel as main homey runs or select another channel on the pro19
? They will be in the same house .

Other than with satellites that now join the Zigbee and Z-wave network from the main Homey these Homey’s are all autonomous and have their own mesh networks. Each Homey chooses its own channel on first setup or on reset of the network afaik.

Ok , i tought i could change the channel . I know it will be 2 separate zigbee networks
seems i have to many zigbee devices on the 2023 so wanted to put all the tuya crap on the 2019
and did not want any interferance with wifi.

No problem with that, if it is empty, reset and change the channel before you start adding the device that you want to move.

@Dijker Great , but should / can i pick the same channel as «main homey» Or will that make problems for the two mesh’s ?
