Fantastic updates! Many thanks for all of your time and effort.
v 2.1.13
Color Temperature Fixed: warm/cool selection in Apple Home (and Adaptive Lighting) was inverted for lights and now matches the bulb’s real output.
Doorbell Fix: doorbells no longer ring twice per press.
Reliability: lights now keep syncing in real time after a connection recovery, sensors recover missed events during the periodic refresh, and duplicate fan accessories are prevented.
Security: new installations now receive a unique HomeKit setup code (existing installations keep their current code and pairings).
No re-pairing is required; all existing HomeKit accessories, rooms and automations are preserved.
Hi,
first of all, thank you for your excellent work on the HomeKit Device Bridge. It has become an essential part of my Homey setup.
I have noticed a problem with Toshiba air conditioners:
- The Toshiba AC is discovered correctly by the HomeKit Device Bridge.
- It appears in Apple Home as an air conditioner.
- However, the device always shows “No Response” in Apple Home and cannot be controlled.
So the bridge seems to expose the device, but the communication never becomes functional.
My question:
Is this a known issue?
Thank you very much for your work! Jan
Hi, if your devices show as “unresponsive” in HomeKit, could you please send me the diagnostic log via Homey? It will help me determine the source of the problem.
Hi I just send it
c4251ec4-13cd-400b-b7ca-70224301e59e
When I check the log, no errors are shown, and Toshiba air conditioners do not appear in the diagnostic log at all. The only reason it consistently shows the “No Response” status on HomeKit is that availability protection is rejecting read requests—in other words, the Homey API reports this device to your app as available: false. This is a known issue in cloud-based AC apps (the device may appear to be working in the Homey interface while remaining unavailable in the API). The problem is most likely related to the status reported by the Toshiba Homey app; however, since the current version doesn’t log this, I can’t say for certain that this is the exact cause. Therefore, I’d like to ask you to install the beta version and resend the diagnostic log.

thank you.
here is the log with the new beta

The logs still look normal. I’m working on a new test version to get more details. I’ll let you know when I’m done; at that point, I’ll ask you to install it and resubmit the discovery log.
Are the other devices you’ve paired via the HomeKit Bridge working properly on the HomeKit side?
Good morning! I don’t know what you changed, but now all the climate control units are working!!! Thanks!!! I’ll keep an eye on things over the next few days and let you know. Thanks again!!! Your app is great!
I’m really glad it worked; actually, I didn’t change anything. The logs were very clean and didn’t show any errors. The problem was likely related to your network. No one had reported a problem like this before.
let me check it the next days. But I wrote also to the developer of the Toshiba homey app a view days ago. Maybe she had changed something.
But I had seen another issue. I have several Eufy Cameras in homey, they are shown as temperature sensors in Apple. This might be a general issue from Apple home with cameras.
Once more thankyou and have a nice weekend

Hi, if you send me the diagnostic log through the app, I’ll be able to figure out why this problem is happening more easily.
Here you go.

I’ve identified the issue: since the device was being recognized as a thermostat rather than an air conditioner, it was sending incorrect data to HomeKit. Please install the beta version, go to the HomeKit Bridge settings, turn off broadcasting for the device, and then turn it back on. It should now appear as an air conditioner in HomeKit. If the issue persists, please send a new diagnostic log.

That will break all my flows. Gonna wait for the stable version. But thanks for fixing it in advance!
You don’t need to unpair all devices or remove the HomeKit bridge; you just need to turn the air conditioner on and off in the settings.
It will break my flows because it’ will then be missing the aircon. And I have a lot of flows containing the aircons…
The update fixes the aircon problem in Apple Home. Thank you so much. Amazing how fast…
