It’s been a while since the last release and since I’ve had any time to spend on this hobby project. That’s probably going to be the case from now - I’m keeping this project on the “back-burner” and will do things from time to time when I have the need for something or some time to spare. As a reminder: this is an open source project - please feel free to contribute with code.
A new version is out in test now and will be live for all when it’s gone through Athoms validation process. The version adds a couple of units (@Andre_Klaseie). It does not add any functional updates to your request @Eivind_Bo, due to lack of time.
I’ve been experiencing some strange behaviour from my HDL after connecting it to Homey.
One of my dimmers seems to lose its connection.
More accurately the channels lose its “place” or “area”.
I can still controll them in Homey but my panels loose the connection to the channel and I have to go inn to the buspro setup tool and manually reassign them.
Anyone else who have experienced something similar?
Anyone experiencing challenges after latest Homey Pro 10.3.3 firmware update? I am not able to control my HDL after the day it updayed.
Some of the HDL sensor like motion detection is working, but when I press a relay or dimmer in Homey the actual light is not turned on.
This is not sorted out by a Homey restart, however when doing a restart of my HDL system everything works for either some minutes or hours. When I do not do anything it also during the day works again, but very frustrating.
The problem is both for controlling light and relays from the Homey app and Homey turning on light and relays in flows
Sadly, control of lights and relays suddenly stop working again… I have not done any changes since I have been on vacation. The only change is the update to Homey firmware 10.3.3
Same problem now after 10.3.4 firmware was released
16.04:
Without any changes it seems to be stable again. Wonder why…
Hi.
The HLD equpiment works fine when the Homey is the boss.
But for instance, I have an Enviro panel that we use to sett day, away, and night modus for the HLD equpiment. The problem then is that the Homey dosent get an update from the HDL. So the homey thinks the lights are off when they are on and visa versa.
Is ther a command, a flow or a scrip that makes the homey check for changes or something?
Hi,
The app will regularly send out a status update request on the message buss, asking all equipment to report status. These messages are broadcasts and might not come at all.
I have the same experience that you have, though, that any logic that is not controlled from Homey, will either stay unnoticed, or update at random. That is why I’ve taken all logic out of HDL and let Homey take care of it instead.
I do not have an Enviro panel, but I do have a DLP in each room as thermostats and for controlling lights. I have not found any way of reading what mode (Normal, Day, Night, Away) the DLP is in. I’m therefor using “Normal” mode in a setup that lets Homey control DLP target temperature by use of UV-swiches. As it seems both relays, dimmers and temperature updates fine from HDL to Homey.
Do I understand that you are not seeing any updates from HDL at all? If so, is there something with the setup?
Apart from that I have moved most of the logic from HDL to Homey.
Okey, then it’s not just my system.
My plan is to eventually change out the HDL, but little by little.
Maybe I could start by removing the logic module an let the homey take over to start with, that is free
I still need the envior panel, because it has a heatingfloor controller in it that i use. but most of the buttons are UV-switches that can be reached from the homey.
Unfortunately, there is a pretty hard limitation on the underlaying protocols integration into our app on listening in on two HDL-busses. So the only solution is to add one more Homey.
Hello @AndreasL . Please, If you will have some free time, can you take a while for looking why cant see HDL relay with filled energy value in new Energy tab? I tried to search but with no lucky.
“Power usage when on (Watt)” - Cannot see in new Homey Energy tab. Maybe missing this?
Hi @horakmar. Only units with built-in power meters can be seen in the new energy tab. I can easily set the energy usage of a relay port when on or off in the ports setting, but it won’t show up in the energy tab as a consumer.
Anyone gets the lux sensors on 8i1 and 12i1 sensor to report correct values to Homey? Mine are reporting, but to seldom to be useful. It gets dark and the sensor is 4 hours back in time
The only problem I have with the 8i1 sensor is slow detection.
I use it to change from away to home, but cant get the homey to read detection sometimes…
But my lux value was updatet 3 min ago
Hi
The way I’m using itouch and DLP panels is by defining UV switches in the Homey app. The buttons turns on and off a UV switch, which is read by Homey. I then use it in flows. Works perfect, every time, and fast. Let me know if you need some guidance.
I would love to have some guidance, since I did never get it to work. For me a lot of strange this happened in my smart house, when I used UV Switches like that.
